Those highway funds

-

Here’s an idea: Mill, overlay and stripe Arkansas 10 from La Harpe westward to Chenal Parkway. Arguably, Arkansas 10 (Cantrell Road) handles more cars and trucks daily than any other state highway, and is generally in deplorable condition. Potholes patched and patches patched. An eyesore bisecting Little Rock from downtown to the western burbs. It passes NYSE-listed Dillard’s headquarters on one side while providing a wonderful glimpse of our gleaming Capitol on the other.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful for visitors and residents alike to marvel over such a beautiful roadway transiting the heart of our capital city? And Mr. Bennett, you would have millions and millions left over to spread around. While you’re at it, replace the I-630 signs downtown. Can’t be seen at night. Try it. You won’t like it.
