BETHEL HEIGHTS — Darrell W. McCormack, 88, of Bethel Heights, Ark., died Nov. 27, 2019, in Fayettevil­le. He was born Feb. 28, 1931, in Tulsa, Okla., the son of Horace McCormack and Virgie Creel.

He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Cross Church in Springdale who loved woodworkin­g, NASCAR and his family.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Marlene McCormack of the home; daughters, Darla McCormack of Bethel Heights, Sandy (Robert) Dresher of Springdale; two grandchild­ren and three great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at Cross Church in Springdale. Burial will be in Fayettevil­le National Cemetery at 1 p.m., under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. No visitation is scheduled.

ELKINS — Linda Sue Dyke, 66, of Elkins, died Nov. 25, 2019, at Fayettevil­le. Visitation will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with interment following at Pinnacle Cemetery. Services entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory, Huntsville.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Wanda Earlene (Lee) Williams, age 59, of Fayettevil­le, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019.

Wanda was born Aug. 22, 1960, to Hartzell and Mary(Phillips) Lee.

Wanda was a loving mother, grandmothe­r, aunt and sister. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly.

Proceeded in death by her parents; sister Shirley Perkins; sister Jane Sisemore; and brother John Lee.

Survived by three sons, TJ Robb of Texarkana, Texas, Art Williams of Goshen, Ark., and Johnathan Williams of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; one sister, Francis Williamson of Watts, Okla.; and one brother, Everett Watts and wife Pat of Fairland, Okla.; and her brother-in-law, Tommy Sisemore of Canehill, Ark. She is also survived by grandchild­ren Sonny, Tanner, Briar, Sasha, Mazzy and numerous nieces and nephews.

PINE BLUFF — Doris Goss, age 91, of Pine Bluff, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019.

Born Dec. 14, 1927, in Los Angeles, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Martin Setran and Selma Rollfsted Setran. She attended John C. Fremont Adult High School.

A resident of Pine Bluff for over 60 years, she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where she served as a third- and fourth-grade Sunday school teacher. She and her husband Elgie were avid square dancers and made countless friends and touched many lives throughout their many years of dancing.

For 22 years, Mrs. Goss was a secretary in the Pine Bluff School District, and she and her husband retired in 1993.

In addition to her parents, she was predecease­d by an infant daughter, Judy Lynn Goss; a brother, Joe Setran; and a half-sister, Helen Watson.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Elgie Goss; two sons, Stephen Goss, MD and wife, Susan of Bentonvill­e and Joe Goss and wife, Rhonda of Pine Bluff; a stepsister, Jimmie Lou Aquino; four grandsons, Chad Goss and wife, Ashley of Bentonvill­e, Jake Goss and wife, Mariah of Los Angeles, Bo Goss and wife Hannah, of Fayettevil­le, and Caleb Goss and wife, Katie of Bryant; and three great-grandchild­ren, Adeline Goss, Whit Goss and Anna Grace Goss.

Visitation will begin Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Ken Thornton officiatin­g. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Pine Bluff by Ralph Robinson & Son.

TONTITOWN — Helene Pianalto Newman, age 91, of Tonitown, passed away Wednesday morning at the Circle of Life in Springdale. Born in Meadville, Pa., the daughter of the late James and Mary Marendo Fucci.

She married Louis L. Pianalto in Jan. 11, 1948, he preceded her in death in August 1975. Their infant son, Gile Dino, died soon after birth. Helene married W. Earl Newman in January 1980 and he preceded her in death in December

2005.

Helene has one living sister Phyllis (Cookie) Giewont of Erie, Pa., and one deceased sister Carmella Fera.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Pianalto and wife Debbie of Tontitown, Robert Pianalto and wife Sandy of Tontitown, Sam Pianalto and wife Lisa of Yellville, Ark., and her daughter, Kathy Miller and husband Jim of Tontitown. She has five grandchild­ren: Tracy Crumpton and husband Matt of Chaska, Minn., Nicholas Pianalto of Fayettevil­le, Brandi Harwell and husband Bryan of Lowell, Mark Miller and wife Krystal of Tontitown, Lance Miller and wife Allison of Springdale; and eight great-grandchild­ren: Capt. Kasey Crumpton of the U.S. Army, Zach and Scout Crumpton of Chaska, Minn., Lilly and Emily Miller of Springdale, Zack and Alivia Miller of Tontitown and Gunner Harwell of Lowell.

She was retired from Harps Foods and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown. She was an avid quilter, enjoyed crocheting, embroideri­ng and working in her flower garden.

Rosary will be Monday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown. Funeral mass will be Tuesday morning 10 a.m., at St. Joseph’s, burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Pallbearer­s: Nicholas Pianalto, Mark Miller, Lance Miller, Scout Crumpton, Bryan Harwell, Matt Crumpton, Zac Miller, Chris Ranalli. Honorary pallbearer­s: Capt. Kasey Crumpton, Zach Crumpton, Lilly Miller, Alivia Miller, Emily Miller & Gunner Harwell.
