Breaking down the Pac-12
1. Utah:
Seven Pac-12 wins is the most ever for Utah, which won six in both 2015 and 2018.
2. Oregon:
Bright side of upset loss at Arizona State was season-low 12 yards in penalties.
3. USC:
Trojans on a bye week, but can clinch a spot in the Pac-12 title game if Colorado defeats Utah. New AD Mike Bohn likely spending the week determining Clay Helton’s future.
4. Arizona State:
Sun Devils are 5-4 against ranked opponents in two seasons under coach Herm Edwards.
5. Washington State:
QB Anthony Gordon set the Pac-12 single-season record with 45 touchdown passes, breaking the mark of 43 set by Jared Goff in 2015 and Jake Browning in 2016.
6. California:
Senior Evan Weaver is one of six finalists for the Butkus Award given to the nation’s top linebacker.
7. Colorado:
Wide receiver Laviska Shenault moved into eight place in school history with 147 catches while ranking 11th with 1,900 yards.
8. Washington:
Huskies have averaged 38.0 points against WSU in five games under coach Chris Petersen.
9. Oregon State:
Running back Artavis Pierce ranks 10th in school history with 2,103 rushing yards followed by teammate Jermar Jefferson in 12th at 1,984.
10. Stanford:
Coach David Shaw won at least eight games in each of his first eight seasons, but the Cardinal will finish below .500 and miss a bowl game in his ninth year.
11. UCLA:
Joshua Kelley needs 16 yards to become the eighth running back in school history to post consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.
12. Arizona:
Wildcats had an average attendance of 39,538 at Arizona Stadium, their lowest mark since 1975.
