LITTLE ROCK — A 34-year-old Carlisle man was sentenced Wednesday in federal court to 15 years behind bars for arranging to meet up with a father and daughter to have sex with the 8-year-old girl.

U.S. District Judge James Moody Jr. imposed the sentence on Stuart Jonas Adams, who admitted in February he responded a year earlier to an online advertisement in which a man, who was an undercover FBI agent, pretended to be seeking sexual trysts with his daughter in exchange for money.

Using the name dementedjoker3, Adams sent the agent two videos and one still image portraying child pornography, and expressed interest in having sex with the girl while her father watched.

An FBI agent’s affidavit included a summary of several text exchanges between Adams and the agent over several weeks. They revealed Adams asked to perform sex acts on the girl and repeatedly asked how far he could go with her. He also asked about her past sexual experiences.

Adams tentatively agreed to meet up with the fictitious father and daughter in May 2019, and to pay the father $250 to have sex with the girl. However, Adams called off the meeting the day it was to occur, saying he had to help a friend with a car problem.

The FBI tracked down Adams’ identity and searched his home May 17, 2019. Adams, who was home with his girlfriend, claimed three years earlier, he deleted the account from which the messages were sent. However, agents found an image on Adams’ cellphone he sent to the undercover officer, as well as two other photos of sexually explicit material involving children.

They also seized a hard drive that contained 71 photos and six videos of child pornography, as well as various external drivers and storage cards containing additional photos and videos of child pornography.
