PEA RIDGE — The Pea Ridge High School Lady Blackhawk volleyball team hosted Senior Night to celebrated seniors Sept. 10. Six seniors were recognized. They were:

• Gracie Easterling, daughter of Joel and Cindy Easterling, has been in Lady Blackhawk volleyball for six years. Her favorite volleyball memory was when the team was having a “bonding day” at the creek and she thought it would be a good idea to jump off a tree into the water resulting in her cutting both her feet open on rocks.

• Josey Goldberg, daughter of Sean and Tammy Goldberg, has been in Lady Blackhawk volleyball for five years and played volleyball for 10 years. Her favorite volleyball memory was a game against Berryville her freshman year when the opposing team “got a kill and changed ‘she’s a sophomore.’ I just thought, OK, watch this, then a few points later I went up and got a kill and our JH team which was our student section proceeds to yell ‘she’s a freshman!’”

• Zaelea Harris, daughter of Mike and Ginnaya Harris, has been in Lady Blackhawk volleyball for six years. Her favorite memory is coach always telling the players to follow the ball to the line and the one time I actually did it, hit my foot then hit the line judge in the face. “Just kidding, but it did hit my foot.”

• Gracelyn Hissong, daughter of Layle and Terry Hissong, has been in Lady Blackhawk volleyball for six years. Her favorite memory is when the team was at volleyball camp in Rolla, Mo., and were assigned roommates. She said that late one night she and McCracken sneaked Gracie’s mattress down the hall so they could sleep with them.

• Tiffany Hyman, daughter of Christina and Todd Kasper, has been in Lady Blackhawk volleyball for six years. Her favorite memory is coach letting her sit in the Arkansas Tech cafeteria and eat while the team was playing and then getting lost on campus for an hour.

• Olivia McCracken, daughter of Tandi McCracken, has been in Lady Blackhawk volleyball for six years. Her favorite memory is staying up until 5 a.m. with Gracie at the Rolla, Mo., tournament and trying to sneak outside to get a cat. And, getting constant concussions.
