HUNTSVILLE — Dorothy Jean (Ross) Trinkle,

82, passed away Dec. 6, 2020, at the home of her daughter in Huntsville, Ark. She was born on July 8, 1938, in Wesley, Ark., to Rev. Byron “Bill” and Nola (Neal) Ross.

She was preceded in death by sister Chlora Kathaleen (Ross) Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Fred Trinkle of the home; daughter Sheila Trinkle of Huntsville; brother-in-law and wife Homer and Marietta Davis of Prairie Grove; one sister-in-law Maudie Trinkle of Huntsville; niece Debbie and Jackie Patterson of Prairie Grove; great-nieces Tabitha Patterson of Prairie Grove and Ashley Roberts of Anderson, Mo; two children who called her “Granny,” Makaya and Crue Ferguson of Huntsville; and many other relatives and friends.

Dorothy was a farmer and a homemaker. She enjoyed singing, gardening, canning, quilting, collecting, and cooking. She attended the Jones Community Church, the Big Sandy Community Church, and was a supporter of Mexican Missions, Inc. for many years. When she was no longer able to attend church, she enjoyed listening to the radio and watching online services. She was a member of the class of 1956 of the Huntsville State Vocational School.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, in

the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. David Watson officiating and the Harmony Baptist Church singers providing the music, burial will be in the Thurston Cemetery.

Due to covid-19, please practice social distancing and masks are required. Pallbearers will be Jackie Patterson, Brandon Roberts, Robert Trinkle, John Shaver, Jack Skelton and Tony Samuels. Honorary pallbearers will be Homer Davis, Garry Trinkle, Kevin Trinkle, Bill Nelson and L.N. Burks.
