Harps to Relocate and Remodel Store In Harrison

-

Harps Food Stores, Inc, announces the existing Harps Food Store, formerly Country Mart, 611 Highway 62-65 North Bypass, will be relocated into the former JC Penney building in Ozark Crossing Mall at 814 US Highway 65 North in Harrison. Harps Executive Vice President, J. Max Van Hoose, said, “We’re excited to bring the Harps store into Harrison. Purchasing the Country Mart location was our first step, and now we’ll be able to remodel and expand to give the community a brand new 37,000 square foot store.” He added, “We’ll have a large variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with Harps Black Angus beef, all natural pork and poultry, delicious deli and signature bakery products, and well-stocked grocery, health and beauty care, dairy and frozen departments.” Jerry Jackson, Harrison Mayor, said of the announcement, “The community welcomes Harps, not just as a new business, but with a basically new store and its many amenities. We envision the new store and its central location becoming a focal point for shopping in Harrison and Boone County.” Chamber President/CEO Bob Largent added, “It’s important to note that this is the second Boone County location for Harps, with their first store in Bellefonte at the intersection of US Highways 62/65 and 412. Their decision to then buy an existing business in Harrison, and move and remodel, is testament to the fact that the Chamber’ efforts to create a business-friendly environment is paying off.”
