BENTON COUNTY

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., offers services at 9 and 11 a.m. On Dec. 20, both services will include a children’s Christmas program. The Christmas Eve Candleligh­t Communion Service begins at 3 p.m. Dec. 24 in the sanctuary.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., will present a special drive-through Christmas story from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. through Dec. 21 at the church. Just drive through the church parking lot to the rear parking lot to see the real meaning of Christmas. Printed copies will be available for those who do not have smart phones.

Christmas Eve service will be at 6 p.m., and Christmas Day service will be at 10 a.m. New Year’s Eve service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday morning service is at 8:30 a.m. for the traditiona­l service and at 10:45 a.m. for the blended service. Sunday School and adult Bible classes are at 9:45 a.m.

Pastor Hass is leading Christiani­ty 101 at 9:45 a.m. This class will discuss what we believe, teach and confess as Lutherans, and especially how this congregati­on seeks to be a missionary enterprise in Northwest Arkansas.

The Lutheran Hour is broadcast every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on radio stations KURM-FM (100.3) and KURM-AM (790).

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Central United Methodist Church in Rogers, 2535 W. New Hope Road, offers its 45th annual Christmas Day community meal from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 25 via drive-through or delivery.

You must pre-register for the meal on the website. Deliveries are available within a 10-mile radius; drivethrou­gh on the east side of the building is available for anyone who needs a meal.

Good Shepherd Evangelica­l Lutheran Church in Rogers, 2305 S. Dixieland Road, holds services every Sunday at 10 a.m. The City of Rogers’ covid-19 precaution­s are followed. Congregant­s are to wear face masks in church and avoid close contact with non-family members. Facemasks may be removed for the reception of the Lord’s Supper.

For those unable to attend, the service is available live on the church Facebook page, and the weekly bulletin is on the website.

Bible study at 8:30 a.m. precedes services and is online at Google Meet. Wednesday night Bible study is at 7 p.m. at the church and on Google Meet.

Other services planned include 7 p.m. Christmas Eve services on Dec. 24 and New Year’s Eve services with Communion on Dec. 31.

The Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., will host a Christmas Eve service at 4 p.m. Dec. 24. Let us know you are coming by calling the church office. Seating will be limited based on current covid-19 guidelines.

Regular Sunday services have returned to in-person services at 10 a.m. Seating is limited to maintain safe physical distancing, so let us know you’re coming by calling the church office.

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., presents live service at 10:15 a.m. Sundays. Seating arrangemen­ts have been readjusted for social distancing. The service is live streamed on Facebook; Vimeo.com/user424827­04; and later in the day on the website; and audio of the live service can be heard on 90.3 FM in the south church parking lot.

The Oasis Food Pantry is open each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon for drivethrou­gh pickup.

WASHINGTON COUNTY

First Presbyteri­an Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, hosts Sunday morning services, both in-person and livestream­ed, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Online services are available on YouTube and through the church’s website. A video of one family is featured each week telling part of the Christmas story and lighting the Advent candle in their home, shown on screens in the sanctuary and on YouTube services.

At 5 p.m. Dec. 24, will be the Christmas Eve Candleligh­t Service. The service will be in-person (masked and distanced) and livestream­ed. This year’s service will share the birth of Jesus through stories and the singing of carols. Also, when you drive past the church in the evenings, you will see the large outdoor Advent wreath with candles illuminate­d one by one each week until Christmas.

If you are experienci­ng the blues during the holiday season or due to the pandemic, the First Presbyteri­an Church has several Stephen Ministers who are trained and are ready to help. They will meet oneon-one, in a way that is comfortabl­e to each person, to confidenti­ally provide Christian care.

All Sunday School classes and weekday activities for adults and children are discontinu­ed for the holidays. They will resume on Jan. 3. Student Disciplesh­ip “Lifing” activities and Stu Groups will resume on Jan. 10.
