TAMU-COMMERCE 77, UA-FORT SMITH 61
The Lions suffered a road loss in Commerce, Texas on Sunday in Lone Star Conference action.
Payton Brown of Waldron scored 21 points for UAFS (2-4) and Chris Rollins had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Farmington’s Matthew Wilson finished with 10 points.
UAFS continues conference play Thursday at Cameron University.
PREP BASKETBALL
BOYS ELKINS 51, GREENLAND 19
Elkins jumped out to a 14-5 lead in the first quarter and went on to post a 3A-1 Conference at home Saturday over Greenland.
Mason Chadick had 13 points to lead the Elks (7-5, 2-2), who led 28-10 at halftime and 42-16 after three quarters. Dayton Brooks had 13 points for Greenland (4-5, 0-5).
SUBIACO 54, CLARKSVILLE 47
Subiaco took the lead by outscoring Clarksville 13-6 in the second quarter as the Trojans posted a 4A-4 Conference game Saturday in Clarksville.
Subiaco led 28-22 at halftime, but Clarksville cut it to 36-32 after three quarters before Subiaco pulled away in the final 8 minutes.
Tobin Bush had 18 points to lead Clarksville, while Owen Ashlock added 16 points and 15 rebounds.
HUNTSVILLE 48, PEA RIDGE 37
Hunter Davidson had 15 points to lead Huntsville to a 4A-1 Conference victory Saturday at Pea Ridge.
Hayden Dotson added 12 points for the Eagles (7-8, 2-2), who outscored the Blackhawks (5-8, 2-3) 16-9 in the third quarter and turned a 22-17 halftime lead into a 38-26 cushion after three quarters.
FARMINGTON 77, BERRYVILLE 68
Layne Taylor had 34 points and 6 rebounds as Farmington handed Berryville its first 4A-1 Conference loss Saturday.
The Cardinals (10-4, 4-1) took control in the second quarter, when they outscored the Bobcats (13-3, 3-1) 26-16 and turned a one-point deficit into a 43-34 halftime lead. Berryville did close the gap to 57-54 after three quarters before Farmington pulled away again.
Roman Carlson added 14 points for the Cardinals, while Carson Simmons added a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Caleb Blakely just missed on a double-double with nine points and 15 rebounds.
Landon Chester had 16 points to lead four players in double figures for Berryville, which hit 13 3-pointers. Jake Wilson was next in line with 14, followed by J.D. Smith with 13 and Nate Allen with 12.
GIRLS
FARMINGTON 46, BERRYVILLE 43
Farmington closed out the game with a 13-1 run and came from behind to defeat Berryville during 4A-1 Conference action at Farmington
Berryville (3-6, 0-2) led 33-23 at halftime and 42-33 after three quarters before Farmington (10-4, 2-2) staged its comeback, holding the Lady Bobcats to just one free throw over the final 8 minutes.
Tori Kersey led the Lady Cardinals with nine points while Megan Hernandez and Lindsey Scogin each had eight points. Lilli Compton was the only player in double figures with 19 for Berryville.
ELKINS 50, GREENLAND 28
Tiara Jackson and Avery Hutchinson each had 11 points to lead Elkins to a 3A-1 Conference win at home Saturday over Greenland.
Charity Moore and Kingslee Kestner added 10 points for the Lady Elks (8-3, 3-2).
ELKINS 60, LINCOLN 49
Tiara Jackson scored 20 points as Elkins earned a 3A-1 Conference win Friday at Lincoln.
Kaylen Coble was the only other Lady Elk in double figures with 12 points.
