CLASS 2A MANSFIELD 51, HORATIO 33

Alyson Edwards’ 19 points capped an impressive showing by Mansfield (21-6).

Danielle Lillie scored 10 points for the Lady Tigers, who outscored Horatio (18-11) 20-3 in the second quarter to open up a 34-15 halftime advantage.

Mallori Marshall had 15 points to lead the Lady Lions.

FORDYCE 58, FLIPPIN 43

Caitlyn Bulliner finished with 25 points to boost Fordyce (22-3) into the quarterfin­als.

Sanaa Bailey had 12 points and Keileigh Mason added 10 points for the Lady Redbugs, who outscored the Lady Bobcats 36-17 in the second half.

Leah Still scored 13 points and Ella Alexander had nine for Flippin (15-7), which scored just two points in the third quarter.

CLASS 1A VIOLA 44, KIRBY 43

Lindsey Browning’s basket at the buzzer gave Viola (29-8) a victory in a rematch of last year’s state title game.

A.J. McCandlis scored 16 points and Browning had 14 points for the Lady Longhorns, who lost 49-42 in the championsh­ip in 2020. Sami McCandlis added eight points and 10 rebounds.

Allison Strasner scored 14 points and McKenzie Jones, last season’s finals MVP, ended with 12 points to lead Kirby (21-7).

RURAL SPECIAL 61, OUACHITA 38

Brinley Morgan accounted for 18 points and Gabrieall Welch had 16 points in a blowout for Rural Special (27-4).

Abbey Linville scored 12 points for the Lady Rebels, who ran out to a 22-9, first-quarter lead and led 39-15 at the half.

Lizzy Rowton totaled 15 points and Linsey Sirratt aided with 14 points for Ouachita (28-7).
