ROGERS — Philip Thomas Hutchinson Jr.,

-

went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 27, 2021, after a valiant fight with cancer. He was born in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Elizabeth and Philip Hutchinson Sr.

The family relocated in 1964 to central Arkansas where he later attended the University of Central Arkansas and University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Philip began working for KFC restaurants, where he met his wife, Cindy, and went on to work for Wendy’s for 28 years where he served as general manager of the Rogers store on Walnut Street for the last 25 years.

He employed several people with special needs, as he believed that everyone deserves an opportunity and a little encouragement to excel.

He was a loving husband and father who loved spend- ing time with his family. He enjoyed watching movies, Razorback games, listening to music and was a collector of old coins. Philip was the vice president of the Super Naturals, a special needs team of which his son was an active member and he enjoyed coaching the team.

Philip was incredibly generous to his friends and employees. Whether it be a ride to work or a meal when short of funds, he was always ready to help where he could. He was a big believer in community and donated many times to multiple fundrais- ers including Rogers school events and teacher appreciation days.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Cindy Hutchinson; son and best friend Jonathan Hutchinson of the home; and brother Al Hutchinson and wife Judy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara and brother Ron.
