ROGERS — William “Bill” Edward Rubley Jr.,
78, of Rogers died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at his residence. He was born Feb. 4, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Mildred and William Rubley, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Renee Perry.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Rosanna Rephan, and her husband, Jacob Rephan; son, William Rubley III; grandchildren, Elijah, Mariah and Aubrey; niece, Shelly Perry; great-niece, Alexa Perry; and several beloved cousins.
Bill was an incredibly talented and detail-oriented man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, Buddy Holly, all things 50s, working on projects, watching Nascar, taking naps, antiques, his ‘57 Chevy, working with his daughter, and being forever young. He was a great painter and restored cars, homes and antiques.
Bill started a dune buggy manufacturing business in Houston and owned a successful bicycle shop in San Luis Obispo before moving to Eureka Springs where he restored and lived in the Dr. R.G. Floyd House. He owned and operated Center Street Antiques and restored Perkins Hall. He served on the Eureka Springs City Council. He owned and managed Palm Plaza in Bentonville and started an Airbnb with his daughter, Rosanna.
A celebration of his life will be held at 246 Spring St., on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. All friends and family are welcome to attend. Please wear a mask at the request of his family.
