BENTONVILL­E — Jimmy Trent Johnson,

age 65, of Bentonvill­e, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at Circle of Life Hospice House located in Springdale. He was born Nov. 20, 1954, in Sulphur Springs, the son of Wanda E. Cope and Thomas E. Johnson Jr.

He loved his family tremendous­ly. He enjoyed collecting knives, coins and Wade England Figurines; he loved going to flea markets and searching for treasures, and loved watching westerns on TV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Johnson; and his stepfather, Howard Zimmerle.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Sheila Sue Roy Johnson, of Bentonvill­e, whom he married Jan. 22, 1977; one daughter, Alisha Sue Johnson-Brooks, and her husband Nicholas C. Brooks of Bella Vista; one son, Lyle Ted Cook, of Bentonvill­e; two brothers, Tommy Johnson and his wife Erma of Oklahoma, Chris Johnson and his wife Angela of Missouri; three sisters, Sue Drymon and her husband Ron of Springdale, Connie Hudson and her husband Wayne of Missouri, Tammy Chapman of Missouri; two grandchild­ren; expecting one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9-10 a.m., at Whittenbur­g Church located in Pineville, Mo. A celebratio­n of Jimmy’s life will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Whittenbur­g Church with Pastor Jamie Cope officiatin­g. Inurnment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery located in Gravette. Pallbearer­s: Nicholas Miller, Michael Miller, Grant Roy, Doug Roy, Nicholas Brooks, Chris Johnson, T. J. Johnson and Wayne Hudson.
