85, was welcomed into her Heavenly Father’s arms on November 3rd, 2021. She was greeted by those that went before her including her mother and father, Mayme and Lawrence; her brother and sister, Joe and Cathie; and her son, Samuel.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of over 29 years, Don Preece; her daughter, Pam; and her stepdaught­ers, Paige and Katie. She was cherished as a “Grandma”, “Grandma Peggy”, or “Granmama” by her grandchild­ren, Nick, Michele, Keenan, Austin, Jake, Emily, Zach, and Luke; and her great- grandchild­ren, McKenzie, Knox, Luke, and Greer.

She had a loving extended family, including her nieces, who were like daughters to her, Candi and Samantha; their children, Katie Grace, Jackson, Madly, and Myles; her brother, Gene Layman and his wife Anna Mary; her sister-in-law, Charlotte; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

Peggy worked for the family business, Layman’s Inc., started by her father, for many years. She loved to cook and was a skilled baker. Many of her recipes are still trying to be replicated by all her family members.

She was a charter member and active at Berry Street Baptist Church where she served the Lord by teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, teaching vacation bible school, and volunteeri­ng for multiple committees, and donations to various mission organizati­ons.

Peggy was loved and cherished by all who met her. Her quiet strength, enduring faith, and unwavering love for family and friends was felt by all. She was an incredible wife, mother, and grandmothe­r. Her family will miss her greatly but will honor her memory in their daily lives by leading with faith and love.

Services will be held at Berry Street Baptist Church, Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10 a.m., with interment at Bluff Cemetery following services. Flowers can be sent to Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Ark. Online condolence­s can be left at www.siscofuner­al.com
