” Wood, of Huntsville, passed away on December 9, 2021. He was born on April 19, 1941, to J. Virgil and Freida ( Masterson) Wood, who predecease­d him.

Cliff is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Sue (Fitch) Wood; children, Bradley Wood and wife Joan of Placitas, New Mexico, Dr. Greg Wood and wife Dorothy of Theresa, Wis., and, Dina Wood of Springdale, Ark. Cliff is also survived by his amazing grandchild­ren, Cliff Alan Wood, a graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology; and Nina Noelle Wood, a pre-medical student at the University of Wisconsin.

Cliff was dedicated to his family, church, and cattle farm. He was a faithful member of the Hartwell Church of Christ. When his children were young, he volunteere­d as a leader with Boy Scout Pack, Troop, and Explorer Post 90. In his early career, he spent 26 years as an electronic­s technician at Jim’s Radio and TV Service in Springdale and later founded Selectroni­cs, an electronic­s sales and service business while also operating a dairy farm. Cliff and his wife retired in 2004 to raise beef cattle on the family farm in Huntsville.

He will be lying in state on Monday, December 13, 8-11 a.m., at Brashears Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Monday, December 13, 2 p.m., at Vaughan Cemetery in Hindsville.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family are urged to contribute to the Clifton Wood Scholarshi­p to assist a Huntsville High School student in pursuing a degree at a technical, community, or four-year college.
