BOYS BASKETBALL GRAVETTE 34, ADAIR, OKLA. 26

Gravette overcame a scoreless third quarter to win the Adair Invitation­al with a victory Saturday night over the host school.

The Lions, who have now won six straight games after starting the season 0-4, led 15-14 at halftime before they went scoreless over the next 8 minutes. That allowed Adair to take a 19-15 lead into the fourth quarter, but Gravette bounced back with a 15-7 run to win.

Brady Hunt had 17 points and was the only player in double figures for the Lions, who will travel to Seneca, Mo., for a game tonight.

BERRYVILLE 57, STRAFFORD, MO. 47

Four Berryville players scored in double figures Saturday as the Bobcats defeated Strafford in the Border War Shootout at North Arkansas College in Harrison.

Nate Allen had 16 points to lead the Bobcats (6-3), who led 24-18 at halftime and 39-33 after three quarters. Jake Wilson was next with 14 points, followed by Weston Teague with 11 and Kade Davidson with 10.

Berryville will host Eureka Springs in a nonconfere­nce game Tuesday night before it starts 4A-1 Conference play Friday at home against Farmington.

ELKINS 65, SHILOH CHRISTIAN 45

Aiden Underdown erupted for 35 points to lead Elkins past Shiloh Christian.

Trace Keller added 14 points for the Elks (8-2), who outscored the Saints 23-10 in the fourth quarter. Connor Menifee and Walker Shankle each scored 12 points for Shiloh Christian (2-6).

GIRLS BASKETBALL BENTONVILL­E WEST 47, NORFORK 44

West held off Norfork’s fourth- quarter comeback attempt to claim a victory Saturday during the Billy Ply Classic in Flippin.

The Lady Wolverines (6-3) trailed 9-4 after one quarter and 17-14 at halftime. West, however, went on a 17-8 run in the third quarter to take a 31-25 lead.

Marybeth Dyson had 14 points to lead a trio of players in double figures for the Lady Wolverines, who will play this afternoon against Webb City, Mo., in the McDonald County Classic.

Ivy Johnson added 12 points and Laynee Tap 10.

GRAVETTE 61, ADAIR, OKLA. 43

The Lady Lions claimed third place in the Adair Tournament by dominating the second half.

Gravette outscored Adair 37-22 in the final two quarters to post a 2-1 record in the tournament.

Rachel Deihl led three Lady Lions in double-figures with 16 points. Reese Hamilton added 12 and Brynn Romine finished with 11.
