Gravette car show raises $1,639 for Bright Futures

GRAVETTE — The Gravette Cruise and Car Show group hosted a benefit car show Aug. 20 at Gravette High School.

The show, held in the parking lot at Lion Stadium, attracted 93 entries from throughout the area. A total of $1,639 was raised from entry fees and half of the 50/50 pot. All proceeds went to the Gravette Bright Futures organizati­on.

Winners at the show included the following:

• Power Wheels — First place, Magnolia Amy McClain, purple Ford F150; second place, Kenyel Rivera, blue Toyota Tacoma

• Convertibl­e Class — First place, Lance Hauth, Bentonvill­e, 1970 Pontiac GTO; second place, Randy Roesemeir, Rogers, 1965 Olds Starfire Convent; third place, Chad Barnett, Broken Arrow, Okla., 2015 Corvette Z06

• Jeep Class — First place, Mike Womack, Bentonvill­e, 2021 Jeep Gladiator

• 4x4 Class — First place, Jonathan Hankins, Gentry, 1998 Dodge Ram; second place, Heather Hankins, Watts, Okla., 1998 Dodge 1500
