SPRINGDALE — Gary D. Grammer,

83, of Springdale passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, at his home in Springdale.

He was born January 25, 1939 in Compton, Calif., to Lloyd and Imogene Grammer. He was a pharmacist, real estate broker, and owner of Grammer-Mayes Realty in Springdale. He was a past member of the Cherokee Gourd Society. He enjoyed multiple hobbies including reading, woodcarving, ham radio, mowing, tai chi, playing numerous musical instruments, beadwork, shooting and all things guns, motorcycles and embracing the latest tech trends to name a few.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maxine Grammer, to whom he was married February 14, 1959, and his parents, Lloyd and Imogene Grammer.

Survivors include two daughters, Carrie Ridgeway and husband Fred of Springdale, and Dina Woodard and husband Wesley of Greenwood, Ind.; six grandchildren, Derrick Ridgeway and wife Jennifer, Carley Freeman and husband Brandon, Alexander Alden and husband Cody Davis, Christopher Alden and wife Marlena, Wesley Alden, and Madison Woodard and husband Bryce Jones; eight great-grandchildren, Gavin, Everly, Macklin, Scarlett, Camryn, Ardyn, Christopher, and Wesley.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 5-7 p. m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Funeral services will be Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Private family graveside gathering will follow in Bluff Cemetery. Pallbearers are Fred Ridgeway, Wesley Woodard, Alexander Alden, Cody Davis, Christopher Alden and Wesley Alden.

Per Gary’s request, there will be an open house for friends and family on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at his home, drop in, from 12-5 p.m. His wish was for friends and family to gather, tell stories about him, laugh and offer a toast. He specifically requested “no tears”!
