FAYETTEVIL­LE — Matthew Lloyd Johnson,

25, of Fayettevil­le, died in his sleep of unknown causes on Nov. 20 in his home. A Celebratio­n of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Unitarian Universali­st Fellowship of Fayettevil­le, 901 West Cleveland Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a dedicated Venmo account @ Mattj memorial to help his parents with Matthew’s final expenses.

Matt was born on Nov. 2, 1997, in Fayettevil­le, the only son of David and Sherry Johnson. He was a graduate of Fayettevil­le High School and had worked as a real estate agent in Northwest Arkansas for several years. Matt was a talented musician and songwriter and an adventurou­s cook. He loved animals, and spent many happy hours outdoors, camping and floating with his friends and family.

Matt is survived by his parents, Sherry and David Johnson; his brothers, Eric and Andrew Johnson; his sister, Jennifer Johnson; his niece, Rachel Johnson; his sister-in-law, Lisa Leech; and his fiancé, Char Stover. He is also survived by his grandparen­ts, Eugene Lloyd Jones and Lynn Burgoon; step grandparen­ts, Jaqueta Jones and Bill Burgoon; his Aunt, Rebecca Peasinger; cousins, Chelsea Lynn Banfield and Adriana Maldonado; as well as extended family great aunts and uncles and cousins. Matt leaves behind countless friends who knew him as a kind, generous and openhearte­d person who had a way of making everyone who met him feel special.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandparen­ts Joe and Marjorie Johnson and his uncle Mike Johnson of Bentonvill­e, his uncle Brian E. Jones, his beloved great grandmothe­r Alta Jones. Online condolence­s www.WestfieldC­hapel.com.
