Soon thereafter in 1969, Keith officially joined the Arkansas State Police to serve the citizens of Benton County, and the State of Arkansas under Sgt. Leon Clinton, of Troop L in Benton County.

His interactions with other agencies from the Secret Service, DEA, FBI, US Marshall Service, surrounding Counties, Cities, and States of Northwest Arkansas and the interaction with those agencies grew as did the area and its people. As many local and State governments, legal systems, professions, and businesses grew so did acquaintances and lasting friendships.

No sooner than Keith, starting his new job as a Trooper for the State he was exposed just as the officers are today 54 years later with the same fine balance in life changing events on a daily basis.
