December 1, 2 & 3 • 7 p.m. December 4 • 2 p.m. Lyric Theater 115 W. Rush Ave., Harrison Tickets available at www.TheLyric.org

The 1929 Historic Lyric Theater will be hosting White Christmas as a collaboration between the HHS Theatre Department and the NorthArk Theatre Department. The Lyric is owned and operated by the Ozark Arts Council, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and is a jewel on Harrison’s square, Theatre Teachers and Directors Julianna Hamblin of the HHS Theatre Department, and Michael Mahoney, of North Arkansas College, co-direct the performance. This is the first time that HHS Theatre and NorthArk Drama have collaborated on a play with both high schoolers and college students. They are also collaborating with HHS Choir, HHS Band, and several Harrison School District and NorthArk College employees. The musical is based on the movie with Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Vera-Ellen, and Danny Kaye, and features some of the songs you know and love from the movie, along with more music by Irving Berlin. “I’m proud to say all the actors are from both the high school and the college,” says Hamblin. “While this musical will certainly get one in the mood for the holidays, it’s really about love: love for your friends, love for your family, and love for theatre and music.” She and Mahoney are looking forward to what promises to be an amazing show. “The majority of our cast and crew are new to theatre and stepped into one of the biggest shows I have ever directed, so it’s been wild but fun,” she continues “The kids are so excited to be able to present this to our community and really think it’s going to get everyone in the holiday spirit!”
