FAYETTEVIL­LE — Bobbie Jean Delze l l Wasson,

age 92, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed from this life Monday, December 19, 2022, after a brief illness. She was born April 17, 1930, in Rudy, Ark., to the late Fred Eugene Delzell and Mabel Long Delzell.

Bobbie was a graduate of the University of Arkansas where she was a member of the Tri Delta sorority. She was a past State President of Arkansas P.E.O. and served on the Internatio­nal Board of P.E.O. Educationa­l Loan Fund. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and was married to Marion Wasson for seventyone years.

Anyone who knew Bobbie Jean Wasson, would be hard pressed to find words to describe the positive influence and love she shared. Whether one met her through the 20 years she ran the certified Red Cross learn to swim program in Siloam Springs, the Girl Scouts, the Cub Scouts, as an MYF counselor, both a state and internatio­nal PEO officer, an aunt, a mother, a wife, a teacher, a traveler, or a friend, Bobbie Jean Wasson touched lives and her touch will be forever remembered. Those close to her will miss her, but we know she will greet us with her beautiful smile and open arms when we join her in the place of peace and love which our Creator has promised to us all.

Survivors are her husband, Marion Wasson, a daughter, Debbie Wasson, a son, David Wasson, a sister, Betty Solis and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023, in the Performanc­e Hall at Butterfiel­d Trail Village, 1923 East Joyce Street, Fayettevil­le, Ark., 72703.
