FAYETTEVIL­LE — Mildred Marie Easterling Hill,

84, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., passed away Jan. 6, 2023 in Fayettevil­le, at Willard Walker Hospice Home. Mildred was born on Feb. 19, 1938 to George Easterling and Lois Steele Easterling in Wharton Creek, Madison County, Ark.

Mildred was always an avid reader from a young age, and she valued education greatly. After graduating from Huntsville High School, Mildred attended Fayettevil­le Business College, and later earned her accounting degree from the University of Arkansas. Much of her coursework at the university was done while also working and raising her 3 sons. She worked at various institutio­ns and businesses over the years, including the Zoology Department at the University of Arkansas, Arkansas Western Gas, Campbell Soup, and Washington County Assessor’s Office. She enjoyed traveling across the United States with her husband Vernon, and their dog Lucky. She also was adventurou­s in her travels, spending a month and a half on a solo trip to Australia and New Zealand. Hawaii was also a favorite destinatio­n for her.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Vernon Hill in 1994.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Michael Hill of Fayettevil­le, Patrick (Melissa) Hill of Alma, and Steven Hill of Rincon, Ga. She also loved all her grandchild­ren, Dallas, Whittney, RyleeAnn, Olivia, Jameson, Sara, and Kevin, as well as all her 7 great-grandchild­ren.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 at Zion Christian Union Church in Fayettevil­le. Cremation arrangemen­ts by Beard’s Funeral Chapel.
