BOYS BENTONVILL­E WEST 65, SPRINGDALE 62

The Wolverines held a lead virtually the entire game, but had to hold on late for the win Friday night.

Tucker Anderson poured in a team-high 27 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter. West led 30-23 at halftime and 46-41 after three quarters.

Courtland Muldrew poured in a game-high 36 points including 10 in the fourth quarter to keep the Red Bulldogs (13-4, 2-1) close. Isaiah Sealy added 21, including 12 in the fourth quarter.

Dawson Price also added 15 for West (15-1, 4-0 6A-West).

FS SOUTHSIDE 38, ROGERS HERITAGE 37

John Parkinson’s basket inside off a feed from Yazed Taforo with 2:04 left provided the decisive points in Southside’s victory.

Ben Manuel scored nine of his 11 points in the fourth quarter, including a 3-pointer with 1:43 left that had Heritage within a point at 3837 but neither team scored over their next two possession­s each.

Heritage (4-11, 0-2) missed a shot with 1.4 seconds left and had the offensive rebound but turned the ball over.

Southside (5-11, 1-3) was led by Taforo’s 11 points. Levi Steele added nine points, and Alex Roper eight with three third-quarter baskets and a driving layup in the fourth quarter that had Southside up, 34-30.

Taylor Burgess scored 15 points for Heritage, including a driving basket with 4:59 left that tied the game at 34-34.

Southside led, 6-3, after a quarter, Heritage led, 19-18, at the half, and Southside held a 3024 advantage after three quarters.

FS NORTHSIDE 56, FAYETTEVIL­LE 55

After Dae’Marion Savoy scored on a drive, the Grizzlies (10-7, 1-2) had to defend three shots by the Bulldogs (11-6, 1-2) in the final 16 seconds to snap a 2-game 6A-West losing skid to gain the conference road win.

Northside led 35-21 at halftime and still had a 43-31 advantage midway in the third quarter, but a 3-pointer by Ornette Gaines at the end of the quarter had got the Bulldogs within 43-42. From there, both teams traded the lead until Savoy’s winning basket.

Savoy and Derek Shepard each scored 13 to lead the Grizzlies while Denarion Whitmore added 12. Gaines scored a game-high 15 to lead Fayettevil­le while Brylan Sims scored 12 and Jadyn Haney added 10.

HARRISON 56, ALMA 48

The Goblins (11-5, 1-0) went on the road to start 5A-West play with a 1-0 start, but the Airedales (3-12, 0-1) didn’t make it easy late at Charles B. Dyer Arena.

Harrison was guided by a game-high 19 points from Blake Shrum and 18 from Kason Hilligoss. Alma’s come-from-behind attempt was fueled by 15 points by Camden Curd and 10 from Matthew Schlegel.

The Goblins, who were coming off a Lendel Thomas Classic championsh­ip run, jumped out to an early 15-8 edge after a quarter then a 3817 advantage at the break.

Alma found its groove after that. The Airedales used a 10-0 run to make it just a 38-27 lead then later just a 40-34 edge for the Goblins in the third quarter.

Harrison’s Hayden Martin hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to take a 45-36 lead into the final quarter. The shot helped spark a 9-4 scoring stretch to begin the fourth quarter, which gave the Goblins a 54-40 lead that they held on to after that.

LEAD HILL 67, DEER 48

Quintin Sewell, Jayce Williams and Kaden Baker each had double-doubles as Lead Hill defeated Deer during 1A-1 East Conference action on the Antlers’ home floor.

Sewell finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Tigers (10-19, 4-4), who went on a 20-8 run in the third quarter to break a 30-30 deadlock at halftime. Williams had 15 points and 10 assists, while Baker added 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Kaden Moore had 24 points for Deer (2-14, 2-6).

OZARK CATHOLIC 64, ST. PAUL 27

Ozark Catholic raced to a 20-5 first-quarter lead and cruised to a 1A-1 West Conference victory over St. Paul.

Jackson Holmes had 12 points for the Griffins (22-3, 6-1), who led 39-9 at halftime and 57-24 after three quarters.

Ervin Sanchez added 11 points for Ozark Catholic, while Jacob Brown led St. Paul with 13.

FARMINGTON 90, GRAVETTE 50

Layne Taylor had 34 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds to lead Farmington past Gravette.

Jaxon Berry added 16 points for Farmington, which improved to 20-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play. Jaedon Newsom added 9 points and 3 assists for the Cardinals.

BERRYVILLE 66, GENTRY 38

Jake Wilson scored 22 of his 30 points in the first half as Berryville earned a 4A-1 Conference win at home over Gentry.

Wilson had 10 points in the first quarter as the Bobcats (14-5, 2-2) built in an 18-9 cushion, then scored 12 more as Berryville claimed a 42-23 halftime lead.

D.J. Colbert finished with 13 points and was the only other Bobcat in double figures. Jonathon Corter finished with 13 points for Gentry (3-9, 0-4).

WEST FORK 70, VALLEY SPRINGS 63

Jackson Blansett and Cade Erickson scored 19 points each to lead West Fork to a road win at Valley Springs.

West Fork outscored Valley Springs 22-12 in the second quarter and turned a two-point deficit into a 39-31 halftime lead, then led 59-50 after three quarters.

Kole Pennington added 10 points and Camden Callahan eight for the Tigers (13-4, 4-0), who beat Lincoln 65-59 on Tuesday. Eli Howerton led the way in that game with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Erickson added 19 points and 11 boards.

Dason Hensley had 23 for Valley Springs (13-12, 2-1), followed by Maddax Johson with 21 and Kaden Horn with 10.

OZARK MOUNTAIN 42, EUREKA SPRINGS 34

Ozark Mountain improved its record to 12-9 overall and 4-2 in 2A-1 Conference play with a victory over Eureka Springs.

Michael Lester had 14 points and Dylan Johnson 10 for Eureka Springs (13-6, 2-3), which will travel to Lincoln for a nonconfere­nce game Monday night.

ELKINS 60, FOUNDERS CLASSICAL ACADEMY 28

Elkins received balanced scoring in its win over Founders Classical Academy.

Steven Holland led the way with 17 points while Trace Keller followed with 16 and John Townsend with 15 for Elkins (10-9). Lance Courtney had 14 points to lead Founders Classical Academy (5-10).

BERGMAN 75, LINCOLN 49

Bergman jumped out to an early 22-9 lead and remained unbeaten in 3A-1 Conference play with a win at home over Lincoln.

The Panthers (23-4, 4-0) led 35-22 at halftime, then outscored the Wolves 25-9 in the third quarter to pull away.

Walker Patton had 24 points to lead Bergman, followed by Dylan Friend and Kaden Ponder with 13 apiece.

KINGSTON 72, ALPENA 42

A 21-8 run in the first quarter propelled Kingston to a 1A-1 East Conference victory at home over Alpena.

Canton Clark had 25 points to lead the Yellowjack­ets (13-9, 6-1), who led 44-21 at halftime and 64-35 after three quarters.

Colton Clemons added 18 and Caiden Fancher 17 for Kingston, while Landon Savage had nine points for Alpena (7-16, 5-3).

OZARK CATHOLIC 61, THADEN SCHOOL 24

Will Buron had 13 points to lead three Ozark Catholic players in double figures as the Griffins claimed a 1A-1 West Conference win Thursday over Thaden School.

Ozark Catholic went on a 24-13 run in the second quarter and stretched a five-point lead into a 37-21 halftime cushion.

Jackson Holmes added 12 points and Ashton Efird 11 for the Griffins.

CEDARVILLE 63, COSSATOT RIVER 62

Lane Hightower scored 30 points and Cedarville erased a late 13-pint deficit by stunning Cossatot River Friday in 3A-4 play.

The Pirates (6-8, 3-0) trailed 36-31 at the half and 55-42 after three quarters before holding the Eagles to seven fourth quarter points.

Hunter Burke and Henry Evans led Cossatot River (8-10, 1-3)) with 18 and 14 points, respective­ly. Cossatot River has lost five of six games.

CHARLESTON 60, DANVILLE 29

Brandon Scott and Brevyn Ketter had 17 and 14 points, respective­ly, to help lead Charleston to a rout of Danville, the team’s third straight 3A-4 victory.

Reese Merechka added 12 for the winners (3-0, 3-0).

Charleston and Cedarville play Tuesday for the conference lead.

PARIS 65, BOONEVILLE 51

Paris ran out to a 21-11 lead after one quarter and rolled to a 65-51 win over Booneville in 3A-4 play Friday.

Sam Muldrow and Jesse Wells combined for 37 points as the Eagles (9-5) ran their conference record to 4-0. Muldrow had a game-high 20 points for the winners.

Colter Fisher led the Bearcats (4-5, 0-2).

WALDRON 67, MENA 56

Trenton Hunt scored 22 points and the Waldron Bulldogs evened their 4A-4 record at 4-4 with a 67-56 win over Mena.

Ethan Mayberry had 14 points and Rody Avila added 12 for the winners (16-4).

Waldron will face Clarksvill­e on Jan. 13.

OZARK 62, CLARKSVILL­E 40

Koby Wilbanks and Landon Wright scored 17 and 14 points, respective­ly, to lead Ozark to a win over Clarksvill­e in 4A-4 play.

Kyle Archer added nine points for the Hillbillie­s (6-9, 2-3).

Gage Reed led the Panthers (2-12, 1-5) with nine points. Braxton Payne and Kole Lindsey added seven and six points, respective­ly. Hayden Clark had four, and Cannon Davis and David Gregory added three apiece.

LAVACA 72, FUTURE SCHOOL 16

Jetson Wagner and Alex Hobbs scored 12 points each to pace Lavaca to a 72-16 win over Fort Smith Future School.

The win lifted Lavaca’s overall mark to 15-4. They are 5-0 in the 2A-4.

GIRLS HUNTSVILLE 50, PEA RIDGE 47

Alissa Pillow scored 19 points and the Lady Eagles held off a late rally to secure a 4A-1 Conference win Friday night.

Huntsville (4-8, 3-1 4A-1) built a double-digit lead in the third quarter, but Pea Ridge (11-8, 1-3) scored 27 fourth-quarter points to get within 46-43 with 1:10 left. Pillow hit a pair of clutch free throws with 42 seconds left to seal the win.

Julie Emitt added 12 points for Huntsville. Leah Telgemeier led Pea Ridge with 12 points and Mackenzie Stites added 10.

BENTONVILL­E 55, SPRINGDALE HAR-BER 37

Sam Rhuda and Ella Campbell combined for 33 points to lead Bentonvill­e to a road with at Springdale Har-Ber.

Rhuda finished with 19 points and Campbell 14 for Bentonvill­e (14-4, 3-1), which led 35-15 at halftime and 45-25 after three quarters. Hailey Hill provided a boost with 10 points off the bench for Bentonvill­e, which also received 10 from starter Abbey Kate Sanders.

Rhuda completed the double-double with 20 rebounds, 10 offensive and 10 defensive.

Pacious McDaniel had 16 points for Har-Ber (7-7, 1-2), which managed only one basket while being outscored 14-3 in the second quarter.

GENTRY 56, BERRYVILLE 25

The Lady Pioneers jumped to an 18-3 lead after a quarter and cruised to the win.

Alyssa McCarty led a balanced scoring attack for Gentry with 14 points, while Shelby Still added 12. Brynn Cordero added 11 for Gentry (14-5, 4-0 4A-1 Conference).

FARMINGTON 81, GRAVETTE 51

Jenna Lawrence scored 24 points to power Farmington past Gravette in 4A-1 Conference action.

Marin Adams added 17 points for Farmington (18-1, 4-0), which led 20-10 after one quarter and 38-23 at halftime. Reese Shirey added 11 points and J’Myra London 10 for the Cardinals.

Alexa Parker had 12 points to lead a trio of players in double figures for Gravette (8-7, 2-2), followed by Brynn Romine with 11 and Keeley Elsea with 10.

GENTRY 56, BERRYVILLE 25

Gentry bolted to an early 18-3 lead and remained unbeaten in 4A-1 Conference play with a victory in Bobcat Arena.

Alyssa McCarty scored 8 of her team-high 14 points in the second quarter as the Lady Pioneers (14-5, 4-0) extended their lead to a 34- 8 halftime margin. Shelby Still then scored 9 of her 12 points in the third quarter for Gentry.

Brynn Cordeiro gave the Lady Pioneers a third player in double figures, finishing with 11. Taelor Tomlinson had seven for Berryville.

KINGSTON 46, ALPENA 36

Lila Hartness scored 18 points to lead Kingston to a 1A-1 East Conference victory at home over Alpena.

The Lady Yellowjack­ets (15-7, 5-1) led by margins of 13-7 after one quarter and 24-16 at halftime, then secured the win after the Lady Leopards (8-14, 2-4) made it a 33-27 game at the end of three quarters.

Hartness was the only player in double figures for Kingston, while Cassidy Ohler led Alpena with 15.

BOONEVILLE 63, PARIS 30

Junior Alexis Franklin scored 23 points and collected six steals in Booneville’s 63-30 win over Paris in 3A-4 play. The surging Ladycats broke open a tight game by outscoring Paris, 19-7, in the the third quarter.

Carah Miller had 18 points and nine rebounds, and Leigh Swint had 14 points, eight boards, five assists, and five steals.

The Ladycats’ Layla Byrun dished out five of our six assists in the final half. Booneville, 6-4 overall and 2-0 in league play, has won five of its last six games.

Annabelle Perry led Paris (8-9, 2-2) with nine points and nine boards. Jayden Wells added six points, and Preslee Bowman finished with five points.

MANSFIELD 59. MAGAZINE 16

Harlie Fuller and Seven Sanderson scored 16 and 11 points, respective­ly, to help lead Mansfield to a 59-16 blowout of Magazine in 2A-4 play.

Natalie Allison added eight points and six rebounds, and Alyson Edwards finished with four points, six boards, and five assists.

Kaylee Ward added four points, six rebounds, and three assists for the winners (15-2, 3-0). The Lady Tigers have won six straight.

LAMAR 52, ATKINS 41

Karley Williams and Bailee Cowell scored 23 and 14 points, respective­ly, to power Lamar to a win over Atkins in 3A-5 play Friday.

Morgan Cochran and Madison Davidson added eight and six points, respective­ly.

Lamar (13-2, 4-0) will host Maumelle Charter Tuesday.

OZARK 53, CLARKSVILL­E 30

Briley Burns added to her illustriou­s scoring record with another big performanc­e against Clarksvill­e.

The Lady Hillbillie­s’ standout scored 28 points to power Ozark to a 53-30 win over Clarksvill­e, Ozark’s fifth straight victory.

The Lady Hillbillie­s (7-9, 2-3) host Fountain Lake Tuesday.

MOUNTAINBU­RG 52, JOHNSON CO. WESTSIDE 16

Mountainbu­rg evened its 2A-4 record at 2-2 with an easy 52-16 win over Johnson County Westside Friday.

Kailey France led the Lady Dragons (11-5) with a game-high 19 points. Emily Henson and Alisha Linder finished with nine and eight points, respective­ly.

Adalyn Brooks finished with six points.
