It is sure to be fun for the entire family. The building, commonly referred to as the “Cracked house”, is designed to show the effects from the New Madrid earthquake in 1812. This was the largest recorded quake in the U.S., made the Mississippi River flow backwards for 3 days and was felt as far away as Washington D.C. Inside you can enjoy the World’s largest roll of toilet paper, a shrunken head, Vampire killing kit and a portrait made from a cassette tape and many, many other fascinating items.

In 1918 Robert Ripley’s first Believe It or Not! cartoon was published, initially called “Champs and Chumps”, featuring a collection of sports oddities. In addition to publishing he conquered radio, television, movies and opened the first museum called an Odditorium at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1939. He traveled to over 200 countries over 40 years and was considered the modern Marco Polo and the real life Indiana Jones.
