ROGERS—Billy Howard Millspaugh,

-

age 92, of Rogers, Ark . , went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Jamestown Health and Rehab facility in Rogers. He was born November 11, 1930, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to his parents William Harold Millspaugh and Alberta Mae Allspaugh Millspaugh.

Bill grew up in Oklahoma, living in Oklahoma City, Clinton, and the Jay, Okla., areas. He was a graduate of Jay Oklahoma High School. He met and married Euvonne Masters on January 27, 1950. Of this union were born Kenneth, Phyllis and Twilla. Together they lived in Northeast Oklahoma, Belvidere and Rockford, Illinois and Rogers, Ark.

Bill later married Sallie Solomon on May 1, 1970, who brought David, William, Jerry and Cynthia to the family. Bill and Sallie managed Rogers Overhead Door Company in Rogers for several years before opening their own business, Northwest Overhead Door Company. They were active members of Southside Church of Christ in Rogers. After retiring, they moved to Hohenwald, Tenn., to the area of Tennessee where Sallie was born and raised. They were members of the Hohenwald Church of Christ and are still remembered by many family and friends in Tennessee. After their health declined, they moved back to Northwest Arkansas.

Bill was quite a character, always ready with a joke and a laugh. He loved to sing; he played harmonica; he enjoyed building things; he wrote poetry, and up until death could still recite verses he had learned as a child in grade school. He enjoyed spending time with family, and their door was always open. Bill was a hard worker all of his life and surely deserves his final rest.

Bill is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Sallie B., a resident of Grand Brook Memory Care in Rogers, son Ken and wife Dottie, of Garden Grove, Calif., daughter, Phyllis Howard of Rogers, Ark., daughter Twilla Samples and husband, Doug, of Broken Arrow, Okla., stepsons David Solomon and wife, Lillie, of Fayetteville, Ark., Jerry Solomon of Gravette, Ark., William Solomon, of Dallas, Texas, and stepdaughter, Cynthia Ormiston of Dallas, Texas., 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren also survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Florence Terry and Audrey Bunch, three brothers, Charles, Melvin and Lee Millspaugh, granddaughter Leslie Howard and daughter-in-law, Jo Lynn Solomon, and daughter-in law Debra Solomon.

He will be laid to rest in a private service at Benton County Memorial Park, Rogers, Ark., 2 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2023. Arrangements by Benton County Funeral Home 306 N 4th St Rogers, Ark., 72756.
