BENTONVILL­E — John Wesley Byers IV,

age 43, entered his heave n ly home Monday, February 20, 2023. He was born June 9, 1979 in Little Rock AR to John and Doreen Byers. Wes was a member of First Baptist Church, Cabot and accepted Jesus into his heart at the age of eight. He was baptized by Bro. Bill Brown at Bayou Meto Baptist Church of Jacksonvil­le, AR.

Wes was an avid sportsman but golf was his passion. He won his first tournament at the age of nine. He played golf for Cabot High School and later played at the University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le, Midland College at Midland TX, Central Arizona College, and University of South Carolina at Akin. While at Cabot High School the team won three state championsh­ips and while in college he played in four national championsh­ips. He was the club champion at Greystone Country Club for two years and was well liked and never met a stranger.

After he graduated, he had various jobs until he met Matt Cole and they became family immediatel­y, working together for four years. In 2022 Wes followed Matt to Bentonvill­e, AR where he was Matt’s right hand and was vital part of growing L& L Custom Homes. The two would work and play golf till dark and had a bond like no other.

Wesley is survived by his parents John & Doreen Byers of Ward, AR; sister, Farah Hardy ( Michael), nephew, Wyatt Jones of Tucker, AR and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many many friends.

The celebratio­n of Wesley’s life will be at First Baptist Church, 204 N 3rd Street, Cabot, AR 72023, Friday, March 3, 2023, 1:30pm with visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Wesley Byers can be made to First Baptist Church, Foundation­s for the Future building fund.
