CENTERTON— Frederick Gordon Scott Deal D. D. S.,

83, of Centerton, Ark., died Sunday, February 26, 2023, at his residence. He was born on January 6, 1940, in San Antonio, Texas to Grace (Webster) and Harry Deal.

Frederick was a graduate of UC Berkley. After graduation he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era and earned the Bronze Star for his service. Following graduation from the UCSF School of Dentistry, he led a distinguis­hed, 42-year career practicing in Texas, Florida, and Arkansas. Frederick was a member of the LDS Academy of Dentistry.

Frederick spent a life serving, teaching, and lifting those in need. If there was a hurricane, tornado or a family unemployed, he would show up with a chainsaw, a case of water, or a month’s rent. He loved his family. He loved his church service. And he loved to make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Grace Deal and brother Robert Deal.

Frederick is survived by his wife of 57 years, Angela Deal, Sister Susan Tauer, two sons: Frederick G.S. (Wife Nanette) Deal, II of Peoria, Ariz.; Markham N. (Wife Tonya) Deal of Clearwater, Fla.; daughter, Jamie ( Husband Chris) Lombardi of Bentonvill­e, Ark.; seven grandchild­ren, seven great-grandchild­ren, and a host of friends and family.

Funeral service will be held Monday, March 6, 2023, at 10 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints in Centerton. Interment will follow at Fayettevil­le National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.

Memorials in Frederick’s honor can be made to the Humanitari­an Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
