FAR MINGTON — Georgia Ann Caselman,

age 81, of Farmington, Ark., passed away Tuesday March 14, 2023. She was born April 25, 1941, in Prairie Grove, Ark., to George and Imogene Mout. She was preceded in death by her father before her birth; and her mother, Imogene Jamison Ledgerwood; and her father, Charlie Jamison; son-in-law, Ed Chappell; and her granddaughter, Lacey Chappell.

Georgia and Randall met in the seventh grade and graduated Fayetteville High School together in 1959. They were married the same year at Center Street Church of Christ, where she taught third and fourth grade Bible Class for over 25 years. She and Randall enjoyed working with the youth for 15 years at Center Street as well. Except for a four-year stint in Tulsa, Okla., they have lived in northwest Arkansas their entire lives.

They raised their children on a farm in Farmington, where they all still live. Georgia and Randall moved to Bella Vista in 1986, where they began their ministry at the Bella Vista Church of Christ. While at Bella Vista, she taught third grade, fourth grade, and ladies Bible classes. She taught teens and ladies Bible classes in Cape Town and Johannesburg for three separate mission trips to South Africa. During her life she had many health issues and met them with faith and resilience. Georgia continued to support Randall’s ministry even in her years of dementia.

She was an assistant librarian and teaching assistant for the Bentonville School System for over 25 years. Georgia had a special affinity for children with learning challenges.

Georgia desired for her children and grandchildren to have childhoods to the fullest, full of love, fun, adventure, learning, and growth. They all remember the annual trips to the Tulsa Ballet Nutcracker and the Dixie Stampede in Branson, as well as the frequent trips to Barnes and Noble and Chick-fil-A. Her children and grandchildren remember their mother and grandmother for her strong support of education, creativity, and reading. She used to give her grandchildren a penny for each page read. She facilitated a sense of curiosity and awe by accompanying her children and grandchildren on exciting and interesting educational experiences. Her passion for learning never ceased.

Georgia was fiercely protective and loving of her people and had high expectations for their character and growth. Her family and church spoke often of her warm smile and her signature hugs. Her daughter-in-law remembers her for accompanying her to Bolivia to help with her grandchildren. Georgia lived out the verse she had engraved in Randall’s wedding band, “For where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.”

Georgia always had an unwavering faith in God and her family. She lived out her faith in word and deed, especially in her support of Randall’s ministry. Georgia loved Jesus and her Heavenly Father, and instilled and nourished that love in countless lives. She will always be loved and missed dearly by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Randall Caselman; two daughters, Karen McGee and her husband Greg of Farmington; Kathy Chappel of Farmington; one son, Keith Caselman and his wife Ana of Farmington; seven grandchildren, Joshua McGee, Hannah McLaurin, Carrie Waggoner, Gabrielle Embry Caselman, Alexandra Caselman, Ana Sofia Caselman, and Luis Caselman; six great-grandchildren, Elie McLaurin, Myles McLaurin, Eva McGee, Kenyon Waggoner, Kaylee Youngblood, and Lainey Waggoner.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023, at Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bella Vista Church of Christ with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery near Winslow under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
