77, of Gravette, Ark., passed away from this life on Fr i d ay, May 19, 2023, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonvill­e, Ark. Mary was born in Miami, Okla., on July 18, 1945, to Edgar “Bus” Choate and Marian Brewer Choate.

Mary was raised in the Miami, Quapaw, Oklahoma area. She graduated from Quapaw High School. She then went to Northeast Oklahoma A&M, graduating with an associate degree.

Mary married Berl Dean Harris on November 15, 1969, in Quapaw, Oklahoma. Mary and Berl moved to Gravette, Ark., where they raised their three children, Jed, Samantha, and Gabe. Before Mary started her family, she worked for Brown department store as the accounting manager. Later after getting married, she worked in the family business.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgard Raleigh Choate and Marian Frances Brewer, and granddaugh­ter, Hillary Grace Harris.

She is survived by her husband, Berl Dean Harris of the home; two sons, Jed Harris and wife, Lisa of Jay, Okla., Gabe Harris and wife, Francesca of Gravette, Ark., and one daughter, Samantha Rorabaugh and husband, Joel of Broken Arrow, Okla.; brother, William Choate of Quapaw, Okla.; and many grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bella Vista Funeral Home, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. 72715. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Maysville Missionary Baptist Church, 12016 AR-43, Maysville, Ark. 72747 with burial to follow at Lee Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, Ark.
