HUNTSVILLE — Ronald Patrick Henry,

86, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville. He was born Tuesday, January 26, 1937, on Frisco Hill at Lowell, Ark.; to Jesse and Thelma Fontella Lewis Henry.

Ronald married Donna Sue Tucker Ames on Friday, May 17, 2002, on the Kings River at Huntsville, Ark.; and was father to one daughter and two stepsons. He was a home builder for 58 years, building homes from 800 square feet to 12,000 square feet in three different states, most of which were in Rogers, Ark., and Broken Arrow, Okla. For some homeowners, he built several houses. He taught the trade to countless family members; building was his passion and hobby. He coached little league baseball in the 1960’s in Rogers, Ark., and loved it; he had played baseball throughout his high school years in Rogers, Ark. Ronald was a dedicated National Guard Reservist and a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Huntsville, Ark.

Ronald was preceded in death by one stepson, David Ames; his parents, Jesse and Thelma Henry; four brothers; Corkey Henry, Delmar Henry, Dempsey Henry, and Sidney Henry; and four sisters, Artie Fielding, Melba Fielding, Edna Smallwood, and Sue Brumley.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Henry, of the home; one stepson and daughterin-law, Dennis and Mitzi Ames, of Inola, Okla.; one stepdaughter-in-law, Rhonda Radtke of Rogers, Ark.; and one daughter and son-in-law, Ronna and Erney Precure, of Huntsville, Ark.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Friday June 23 at Brashears Funeral Home, Huntsville, Ark. Memorial services will be Saturday June 24, 10 a.m., at Monte Ne Baptist Church, Rogers, Ark., with Brother Mack Mills officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Madison County Senior Center, PO Box 598 Huntsville, Ark. 72740, noting “Donation in honor of Ronald Henry”. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
