BELLA VISTA — Elizabeth “Beth” Roadcap Tracy,

-

66, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Richmond, Va., passed away September 19, 2023, surrounded by family.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Robert R. and Elizabeth S. Roadcap; and by her brother, Lt. Col. John R. Roadcap.

She is survived by her husband, Jon B. Tracy of Bella Vista, Ark.; her son, Bart Tracy (Amanda), and two grandsons, John Parker, and McCray Tracy, all of Springdale, Ark.; and her brother, Dr. Richard F. Roadcap (Norma) of Colonial Heights, Va.

Beth was a graduate of James Madison University, and earned a Master’s degree from the University of Richmond. She retired from Collegiate School in 2017 after 38 years of service in the Lower School as a music teacher. During her teaching career, Beth used her talents to inspire thousands of students and made numerous friendships with co-workers and staff that lasted beyond retirement. Beth’s most notable teaching legacy was her numerous plays and productions that set the standard of excellence faculty, students, parents, and grandparents have come to expect from Collegiate School. After retirement, Beth and Jon relocated to northwest Arkansas where Beth became more affectionately known as “BeeBee.” She spent countless hours at “Camp Rannoch” fishing, boating, feeding, and watching her grandsons play. BeeBee’s grandsons were her whole life; she never missed an opportunity to babysit, attend school and sporting events, or to pick them up after school (with donuts or a new toy).

At their new home on Loch Lomond, countless guests enjoyed BeeBee’s unmistakable southern hospitality. One of her favorite events was hosting sunrise worship services on their dock for neighbors and church friends. BeeBee continued using her musical talent by playing at Bella Vista Community Church services. She was also known around the community for her skill and enjoyment to sew.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 30 at Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. 72714.
