FAYETTEVILLE — Carlie Elizabeth Seals,

-

27, passed from this world suddenly on September 23, 2023. Carlie was born on September 29, 1995, to John and Carri Seals.

She grew up in both Harrison and in northwest Arkansas with her big sister, Bailie. Carlie graduated from Harrison High School in 2013. She moved back to northwest Arkansas in 2014, where she continued to live.

Carlie was a beautiful, vibrant, free spirit. She loved the sun on her face and water at her feet. She could often be found on the riverbank in a hammock, searching for unique rocks or playing in the water with her beloved dogs, Opal and Jasper. They were her dog babies, along with her most missed, her late hound, Marlee.

Carlie had a smile that lit up a room. She was kind and loving but also fierce and brave. Whenever you were in her presence, she showed you life was made to enjoy. She could never pass a plant or flower without literally stopping to smell the flowers. Her house was full of plants she had collected to surround her with nature.

Carlie loved to travel and experience the outdoors, but loved the Ozarks the most. She loved hula-hooping, roller-skating, kayaking, hiking and laughter. She moved through this life with love for so many and was loved by so many.

Carlie was preceded in death by her only sister, Bailie Seals; her Grammy, Peggy Ruff; and her great-aunt, Billie Thomason.

Carlie is survived by her mother, Carri Seals, of Harrison; her father, John Seals, of Omaha; her brother, Jordan Seals (Elle), of Iowa; her niece, Emma Shaw; three nephews, Greyson Breedlove, Ryder Seals, and Jay Seals; her aunt and uncle, Carla and Steve Chastain of Rogers; her cousins, Quentin Chastain, Cahl Chastain (Katie), Cade Chastain (Kayley), all of Rogers; her great-uncle, Dean Thomason, of Harrison; her grandfather, Tommy Ruff of Harrison; and many extended family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Holt Memorial Chapel. A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023, at White Church Cemetery.

Please consider making memorials to the local animal shelter. Carlie loved animals, especially dogs.

“When life gets busy, remember stop and smell the flowers as often as you can.” - Carlie
