BOYS BERGMAN 74, RIVERSIDE 56

Dylan Friend had 18 of Bergman’s 24 first-quarter points Friday and led the Panthers to their second victory in the Pangburn Tip-Off Classic.

Friend led three players in double figures for Bergman (3-0), which owned a 24-12 lead after one quarter. The Panthers then enjoyed cushions of 45-27 at halftime and 60-39 through three quarters.

Friend hit six three-pointers and finished with 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead Bergman, followed by Sawyer Schubert with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Zion Fultz with 13 points.

FAYETTEVIL­LE CHRISTIAN 60, THADEN SCHOOL 47

Parker Hedmon had 15 points to lead four Fayettevil­le Christian players in double figures as the Warriors defeated Thaden in a game played Friday night at Rogers.

Fayettevil­le Christian (2-0) jumped out to an early 17-9 lead and extended it to 33-14 at halftime and 48-28 through three quarters.

Joseph Gonzales added 12 points for the Warriors, while Justus Osbon added a double-double with 11 points and rebounds and Davis Trantham chipped in 10 points. Grayson Ramming led the Barnstorme­rs (0-1) with 17 points, followed by Jack Hinson with 15.

OZARK CATHOLIC 49, WONDERVIEW 41

Shep Newcomb helped Ozark Catholic stage a fourth-quarter comeback Thursday as the Griffins handed Wonderview a rare home loss.

Newcomb scored 11 of his game-high 16 points over the final 8 minutes as Ozark Catholic (2-0) outscored Wonderview 18-8 to take the victory. Newcomb had 3 three-pointers during the fourth quarter.

Simeon Spencer almost had a double-double for the Griffins, finishing with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Ethan Kellogg led Wonderview with 13 points while Rowdy Wallen added 10.

VALLEY SPRINGS 66, JACKSONVIL­LE LIGHTHOUSE 32

Valley Springs outscored Jacksonvil­le Lighthouse 44-11 over the second and third quarters to record their second victory in as many games during the Pangburn Tip-Off Classic.

The Tigers (2-0) used the second quarter to go on a 20-6 run and stretched a two-point lead into a 32-16 halftime cushion. Valley Springs continued the rout with a 24-5 outburst in the third quarter.

Nate Helams had 17 points to lead a trio of Tigers in double figures, followed by Keyton Carnahan with 14 and Levi Carey with 13.

BUFFALO ISLAND CENTRAL 86, KINGSTON 62

Kingston had its record fall to 1-1 after the Yellowjack­ets fell to Buffalo Island Central in Thursday’s action at the Pangburn Tip-Off Classic.

Chism Floyd had 27 points and 6 rebounds to lead Kingston, while Colton Clemons added 14 points and 7 rebounds.

Kingston opened its season Tuesday at Pangburn with a 73-48 victory over Norfork. Floyd led three Yellowjack­ets in double figures with 21 points, followed by Josh Cooper with 17 and Clemons with 14.
