WEST FORK — Shirley Annette Fox,

age 69, of West Fork, passed away on October 22, 2023.

Shirley was born on November 21, 1953, to Ancel Paul Waterson and Arline Pearl Brock in Riverside, Calif.

In 1971, she married her high school sweetheart Donald. Shirley and Donald went on to have two beautiful girls, Megan and Alicia.

Shirley spent her life serving her community by providing childcare in West Fork at her Daycare Tumbles for over 30 years. Her devotion was an inspiration to her children, refusing to give up on them no matter the struggle and continuing those relationships far beyond her time with them, loving each one as her own. She had a passion for sewing, reading, and spending time with her family.

Shirley was predeceased by her mother Arline Waterson, her father Ancel Waterson, as well as her husband Donald Fox. She is survived by her daughter Megan Wootton and husband Chad and their sons Aubrey and Henry; daughter Alicia Everett and husband Jerrall and their son Jaxson; granddaughter McKenzie Johnson and husband Connor and their children Landon and Halle; her brother Rodney Waterson and wife Carla; sister Joanna Yates and husband Kenny, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Moore’s chapel on Wednesday October 25, 2023, with a Visitation at 10 a.m., with service to follow at 11 a.m., and internment at Fayetteville National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations sent to Arkansas Children’s hospital and the West Fork public Library.
