CAVE SPRINGS — Delores June Eitzen

passed from this life on November 19, 2023. Delores was born on February 26, 1936, in Cave Springs, Ark., to Frank and Betty Bush. She graduated from Bentonville High School in 1954. She married R. Wayne Eitzen on May 16, 1959. They were married for 61 years until his death in 2021. Wayne and Delores had three children whom they raised in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Wayne and Delores were faithful, founding members of the Bella Vista Church of Christ in Arkansas for over 30 years.

Delores loved her family deeply. She was a devoted wife to her husband, mother to her children, daughter to her parents, and sister to her brothers. As their health declined Wayne and Delores left their beloved Arkansas in 2016 to live with their children in California and Alabama. Because of this, they were able to spend lots of time with their grandchildren which brought them great joy.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, and by her brothers, Walton and Vonden Bush. Surviving her are her children, Mark Eitzen of Texas, Michelle Houtchens and her husband, Jeremy of Florida and Maria Cowden and her husband, Patrick of Alabama; her sister-in-law, Sallie Bush; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews. Her passing leaves a hole in the hearts of those who loved her, even as they have great hope of reuniting with her in heaven.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 28th at 11 a.m. at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Burial to follow at Bentonville Cemetery.
