Georgia Graham Lunney

of Rogers, Ark., passed away on November 17, 2023. She was born in Pryor, Okla., on February 6, 1935, to Baylis L. Graham and Thelma McCoy Graham.

She graduated from Pryor High School, Gulfpark College and the University of Arkansas where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She taught elementary school for many years with 40+ of those years teaching first grade in Rogers, Ark.

Georgia has been an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church of Rogers, she had been a member of the Altar Guild, Vestry, Usher and in the Outreach/ Backpack program.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Donald E. Lunney, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Donald E. Lunney, Jr. (Cynthia) of Rogers, Ark.; a sister, Gene Graham of San Francisco, Calif.; a brother, William Oscar Graham (Johanna) of Melissa, Texas; nephews, Steve Graham (June) of Lewisville, Texas, Gary Graham (Lissy) of Parker, Texas, and Barry Lunney, Sr. (Becky) of Bentonvill­e, Ark., Cindee Waterfield of Fort Smith, Ark. and Caroline Cox, of Fort Smith.

She is also survived by great-nephews and -nieces, Barry Lunney, Jr. (Janelle), Daniel Lunney (Emily), Rachel Imbo, Margaret (Nathanial), Alex, Allison, Nicholas, Peter, Clare, Sara, Dillon, Davis, Luke, Levi, Molly, Maggie, Maddox, Anna, Adley, Ruby, Drew; and great-great nephews, Colton and Bolton.

Service will take place on December 15, 2023, at 1 p.m., at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Rogers, Ark., with a celebratio­n of her life in the Parish Hall.
