GIRLS DUNCANVILL­E, TEXAS 70, FARMINGTON 60

Nationally-ranked Duncanvill­e controlled the second and third quarters and handed Farmington its first loss of the season Saturday during the Red River Hoopfest in Texarkana, Texas.

Farmington (7-1) led 18-17 after one quarter, but Duncanvill­e outscored the Lady Cardinals 18-9 in the second quarter and 25-18 in the third quarter for a 60-45 lead.

Marin Adams had 23 points to lead Farmington, followed by J’Myra London with 10.

IMG ACADEMY 76, FORT SMITH NORTHSIDE 40

Northside suffered its first loss of the season against nationally known IMG Academy during Saturday’s action in the She Got Game Classic at Mansfield, Texas.

The Lady Bears never recovered after falling behind 26-8 in the first quarter and trailed 38-18 at halftime and 57-28 after three quarters.

Erianna Gooden had 15 points to lead Northside, while Hazley Grotjohn added 10.

BERGMAN 61, MAMMOTH SPRING 55 (OT)

Bergman outscored Mammoth Spring 12-6 in the overtime period Saturday as the Lady Panthers won their third game in as many days during the Charles B. Dyer Classic at Alma.

Kiersten Lowrey’s three-pointer with 26 seconds left in regulation tied the game at 49 and forced overtime. Jacey Halitzka started the extra 4 minutes with a long 3-pointer, then Ruby Trammell and Brinley Collins added buckets to gave Bergman (17-1) a 56-49 cushion.

Trammell finished with 17 points and Halitzka added 16 for the Lady Panthers, who will play Thursday in the Tournament of Champions at Fort Smith.

ROGERS 41, OZARK, MO. 34

Rogers claimed fifth place in the Great 8 Classic with a victory Saturday afternoon in Mountie Arena.

Kiara Owens had eight points to lead a balanced scoring attack for the Lady Mounties (4-3). Callie Wooldridge, Alayshia Freeland and Brooklyn Owens each chipped in seven points.

VALLEY SPRINGS 55, EPISCOPAL COLLEGIATE 30

Camie Moore had 14 points to lead Valley Springs to a victory Saturday at the Benton Classic and take a third-place finish.

The Lady Tigers took an early 17-10 cushion and pulled away, leading 35-19 at halftime before going on a 12-2 run in the third quarter for a 50-21 cushion.

Tayla Trammell and Macy Willis added 11 points apiece for Valley Springs.

HARRISON 58, WILLARD, MO. 43

Brooklyn Mitchell had 20 points to lead three Harrison players in double figures as the Lady Goblins closed out their portion of the Willard Tiger Basketball Classic with a victory Saturday over the host team.

Harrison took control early with a 23-12 lead. Willard closed the gap to 36-26 at halftime, but the Lady Goblins put the lead out of reach with a 15-4 run in the third quarter.

London Lee added 11 points and Tucker Webb 10 for Harrison.

LITTLE ROCK CENTRAL 51, ROGERS HERITAGE 39

Central outscored Heritage 13-7 in the second quarter to take the lead, then pulled away from the Lady War Eagles during Friday’s late game in the Great 8 Classic at Mountie Arena.

The Lady Tigers broke a 10-10 deadlock for a 23-17 halftime lead, then extended it to a 36-27 margin to end the third quarter.

Sophie Sarratt had 18 points and was the only Heritage player in double figures.

GENTRY 64, PARIS 33

Gentry outscored Paris 27-6 in the second quarter and went on to take a nonconfere­nce victory Friday at Paris.

The outburst allowed the Lady Pioneers (5-1) to break an 8-8 deadlock and take a 41-20 halftime lead. Gentry then extended its lead to a 57-27 margin after three quarters.

Kaitlyn Criswell had 18 points and Shelby Still 12 for the Lady Pioneers. Annabelle Perry led Paris with 12 points.

FARMINGTON 53, COLLIERVIL­LE, TENN. 33

Farmington dominated the second through fourth quarters and claimed a victory Friday during the Red River Hoopfest in Texarkana, Texas.

The Lady Cardinals went on a 13-5 run in the second quarter and turned a one-point deficit into a 26-19 halftime lead. Farmington then took a 37-28 lead into the fourth quarter and put its lead out of reach with a 16-5 outburst.

Marin Adams led a trio of Lady Cardinals in double figures with 19 points, followed by Reese Shirey with 15 and J’Myra London with 10.

BERGMAN 69, GREENLAND 35

Savannah Ketchum had 10 of her 18 points in the first quarter and led Bergman past Greenland during Friday’s action at the Charles B. Dyer Classic in Alma.

Ketchum helped the Lady Panthers build a 24-6 lead in the opening quarter, and the cushion grew to 44-16 at halftime and 60-28 after three quarters.

Kiersten Lowrey added 11 points as 10 player scored for Bergman, which had a 58-36 victory over Alma on Thursday. Dixie Moulton had 11 points for Greenland.

BOYS GREEN FOREST 73, BERRYVILLE 71 (OT)

Zakary Wilson scored 8 of his 23 points in overtime as Green Forest slipped past Berryville during Saturday’s action at the Bev Stone Border Classic at Omaha.

Green Forest led 31-25 at halftime, but Berryville rallied to tie the game at 40 to close out the third quarter. The Tigers then outscored the Bobcats 1816 in overtime to take the win.

Hesten Maybee added 17 and Brayden Compton 14 for Green Forest. Peyton Smith had 29 points to lead Berryville, while Dale Nagtalon chipped in 18 and Noah Houghton added 14.

Both teams will play Monday in the Green Forest Holiday Tournament, as Berryville takes on Kingston at 6:20 p.m., while Green Forest plays in the 7:45 p.m. game.

SPRINGDALE 71, LIBERTY, MO. 59

Isaiah Sealy scored 10 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter Saturday afternoon as Springdale defeated Liberty in the championsh­ip game of the Republic (Mo.)

Invitation­al tournament.

Jarvis Palmer added 11 points and Cy Bates 10 for the Bulldogs (3-3), who have won three in a row.

Springdale returns to action at 8 p.m. Friday as the Bulldogs take on Knoxville (Tenn.) Webb School in the Battle in the Bluff Showcase at Bartlett, Tenn.

FLIPPIN 46, LEAD HILL 30

Lead Hill managed only eight points in the second half and suffered a nonconfere­nce loss Friday night at Flippin.

Kaden Baker’s buzzer-beater from midcourt allowed the Tigers to force a 22-22 halftime deadlock. Flippin, however, outscored Lead Hill 8-4 in the third quarter, then put the game away with a 16-4 outburst in the fourth-quarter.

Baker finished with 14 points to lead Lead Hill, which opens 1A-1 East Conference play Tuesday with a home game against Omaha.

FAYETTEVIL­LE CHRIST. 55, SPERRY (OKLA.) CORNERSTON­E 45

Justus Osbon had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead Fayettevil­le Christian to a Heartland Christian Athletic Associatio­n game Friday at Spiro, Okla.

The Eagles (11-0) broke an 8-8 tie and took a 23-20 halftime lead, then owned a 42-38 cushion to close out the third quarter.

Joseph Gonzalez and Jaheem Campbell had 10 points apiece for Fayettevil­le Christian, while Daniel Blevins had a team-high 12 rebounds.

ELKINS 67, SHILOH CHRISTIAN 62 (OT)

Jaeden Newsom scored 30 points to lead Elkins to a victory in overtime against Shiloh Christian.

Newsom made a free throw to send the game in overtime then went on a personal 12-2 run against the Saints in the extra session to enable the Elks to pull away.

Xavier McDowell added 18 points for Elkins (7-0). Duke Bowman scored 24 points while Joby Butler and Caleb Arnold contribute­d 14 points each for Shiloh Christian (3-4).
