Bethel Brew celebrates by giving back
Alocal coffee shop, with locations in Farmington and Fayetteville, announced a weeklong celebration as a way to give back to the community that has embraced them with open arms, according to a press release.
Bethel Brew Coffeehouse’s Community Celebration starts Dec. 18 and runs through Dec. 21, operating between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at their Fayetteville location inside of the Cross Church C3 building at 2736 W. McMillan Drive, the release states.
Each day will feature a giveback component and free activities — and free hot cocoa! — for kids, such as access to books, board games and a coloring station, according to the release.
“As parents ourselves, we know finding activities during Christmas break is a must, so we hope to provide a unique place for parents to enjoy a delicious holiday drink while the kids participate in some activities that are free or very budget friendly,” explained co-owner Tanae Coleman.
According to the release, the celebration will benefit four different charities, Arkansas Children’s Northwest, Compassion NWA, Feed the 479 and Hope 4 the City.
“The core purpose of Bethel Brew Coffeehouse is to serve others while building connection and community,” shared co-owner Brad Coleman. “Bethel Brew Coffeehouse is open to the public, and we want everyone to join us for our Community Celebration — you will get to experience what we are all about while supporting four great nonprofits in our community.”
Check out the coffeehouse’s website for a full schedule for each day of the celebration at bethelbrew.com/communitycelebration.
Bethel Brew’s brick-and-mortar Farmington shop is located at 89 W. Main St.
Whataburger
Van Buren officially has a Whataburger.
The popular burger chain opened this past Wednesday at 529 Tina St.
“It’s been an exciting year for Whataburger in Arkansas, with recent openings in Fort Smith, Little Rock, North Little Rock and Searcy,” said franchisee Tina Reagan. “We can’t wait to dish up our delicious offerings to the Van Buren community, one mouthwatering meal at a time.”
Big Chicken
The official opening in Fayetteville of a fast-casual restaurant founded by Hall of Fame star Shaquille O’Neal has been revealed.
Big Chicken, located at 2190 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., is planning a soft opening on Dec. 27 followed up by a grand opening on Jan. 3, according to a press release.
“After meeting Josh and the entire Big Chicken team, we knew that we made the right decision. We can’t wait to connect with the Fayetteville community and bring BIG fun and BIG flavor throughout the city,” said Amy McMillan, co-owner of Northwest Arkansas Restaurant Group.
Mezzaluna Pasteria
Bentonville is getting a new and exclusive upscale Italian restaurant.
Mezzaluna Pasteria will open at 215 NW A St. in Bentonville, according to the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce website.
Currently, the only other Mezzaluna Pasteria location is in Pacific Grove, Calif., which will make the pasteria a unique spot to dine at in Arkansas.
Specific details have not been released regarding an opening date for the restaurant.
Santa at Ozark Beer Co.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t squeeze in some holiday cheer so close to Christmas.
Santa himself is coming to Ozark Beer Company in Rogers.
That’s right, meet the big guy in red, get your picture taken with him, enjoy some delicious hot chocolate, get creative with holiday arts and crafts and, perhaps best of all, gift some presents for children in need!
The jolly good time is happening from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Ozark Beer Company.
