ALMA — After being involved in a car crash, Alma junior forward Israel Towns-Robinson missed last Friday’s game. Fast forward a full week, and it’s safe to say Towns-Robinson is completely back for the Airedales.

Towns-Robinson, who returned to action Tuesday, finished with a team-high 19 points and 13 rebounds Friday a week removed from missing a game. He scored a team-high nine points in the fourth quarter to spark a 6556 come-from-behind victory over Harrison to remain unbeaten in 5A-West Conference play.

“I’m glad to be back,” Towns-Robinson said. “I did get in a car crash. It took my heart out missing that game last week. We just keep growing. I’m so proud of my teammates. We had to figure out some things to get us going. I love these guys.”

Down 44-38 entering the final quarter, Alma (15-8, 8-0) turned to Towns-Robinson early and often. He scored six points during a 9-0 run for Alma to take a 47-44 lead early in the fourth quarter.

It was a team effort after that. Each of Alma’s starters — Towns-Robinson, Carmani Smith, Miles Kendrick, Easton Boggs and Camden Curd — scored in the 27-point fourth quarter.

“Harrison is a really good basketball team with a lot of pride and tradition,” Alma Coach Dominic Lincoln said.

The Airedales received plenty of help outside of Towns-Robinson. Kendrick finished with 13 points.

Harrison (16-8, 4-4) was guided by a team-high 22 points from Cole Cecil. The Goblins also received 14 points from Ryder Scribner.
