TONTITOWN — Joseph Barrett Davis,

-

33, of Tontitown, Ark., passed away Saturday, February 3rd, 2024. He was born February 22, 1990, in Fayetteville, Ark. to Donnie Davis and Lindsey Davis.

There are many things that Joseph enjoyed and many things to enjoy remembering about him. His sense of humor and big laugh would brighten the day. He gave hugs that would lift your heart and was always giving and unselfish.

His loving relationship with brother Cody was fun. Family get-togethers with the Brittain family, the McCollum/Wilks/Davis family, and the Perkovich family were a joy for him. He loved his family. And the family loved him deeply.

As a youth he played baseball, basketball, and football. He enjoyed competing and made us proud watching him.

He loved his chickens and ducks, and dogs Ellie and Pearl, and cat Chicago. Joe enjoyed the walks in the back pasture and woods with dad and the dogs, and the trips and shopping with mom Lindsey. He found thrill in bow hunting deer, the fellowship at Spike Buck Deer Camp/Club (Kerksieck Farm) on Lagrue Bayou, and duck hunting as a family in Stuttgart/Ulm. He was a dedicated Razorback sports fan, and never wanted to miss their basketball TV games.

Joe grew up as a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown. He graduated with honors from Springdale Har-Ber High School, where he played basketball his sophomore year, and golf all 3 years. Joe then went on to graduate from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville with an Architectural Studies degree and was a member of Kappa Sig fraternity.

Joseph is preceded in death by grandparents John Perkovich and Nell Cato Perkovich, and Herbert F. Davis Sr. and Frances “Dollie” Scherm Davis.

Survivors include father Donnie Davis and mother Lindsey Perkovich Davis of Tontitown, brother Cody Davis of Fayetteville, aunts Linda Davis McCollum (Bud) and Mary Jane Davis McCollum of Stuttgart, aunt Alyson Perkovich Brittain (Mark) of Bentonville, aunt Paget Perkovich of Little Rock, along with uncle Frank Davis Jr. (Veleta) of Little Rock.

The funeral service (celebration of life) will be Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 1 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 192 E. Henri de Tonti Blvd (Hwy 412), Tontitown, Ark. There will be a meal reception in the parish hall after the mass for everybody to attend.
