BENTONVILL­E — Michael Eugene Rose,

born on July 13, 1945, in Blythevill­e, Ark., peacefully departed this world on March 5, 2024, in Bentonvill­e, Ark., at the age of 78. He was the son of the late Rosier and Vivian (Jones) Davis and preceded in death by his brother Gary Wayne Rose.

Michael dedicated 21 years of his life to the United States Military, serving with distinctio­n in both the Marine Corps and the U.S. Army. As a Vietnam Veteran and helicopter pilot, he attained the rank of CW4 and was a proud recipient of the Bronze Star for his bravery and service to his country.

Following his military career, Michael transition­ed into civilian life and became the proud owner and operator of Glass Services in Shreveport, La. before retiring. He was a man of diverse talents and passions, exemplifyi­ng dedication, and excellence in all his endeavors.

A devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Bentonvill­e, Michael was also an honor graduate from Northweste­rn State University and a proud member of the Tri Sigma fraternity.

In his leisure, Michael found joy in various activities. An avid golfer and a dedicated runner, he embraced a healthy and active lifestyle. His love for classic cars was embodied by his prized possession, a ’57 Chevy Bel Air, which he showcased at numerous car shows, earning him well-deserved awards.

Known for his larger-thanlife personalit­y, Michael cherished moments spent with family, particular­ly during his famous hamburger cookouts. His warmth, humor, and love left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sharon Rose, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He is also survived by his children Chad Michael Rose and his wife Kimberly of Rogers, Ark., and Angela Christene Rose LaBruyere and husband David of Bossier City, La.

His legacy extends to his grandchild­ren Cameron Rose and wife Jenny May, Chase Preston, Hannah Rose Martin and husband Matthew, and Destiny Grace Graham. Additional­ly, he is survived by his great-grandchild Aiden Michael Martin.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Circle of Life Hospice, the VA Hospital, and the pulmonary care team at Mercy Hospital for their unwavering care and support during Michael’s battle with ALS.

In accordance with Michael’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Instead, the family encourages friends and loved ones to remember and celebrate the vibrant and impactful life he lived. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made to the ALS Associatio­n at www.als.org.
