PREP BASEBALL SPRINGDALE HAR-BER 11, FARMINGTON 1

Har-Ber scored eight runs in the third inning and claimed a run-rule victory over Farmington at Wildcat Field.

The Wildcats (3-3) already had a 3-0 lead when they added to their cushion in the third with two hit batters with the bases loaded, followed by a walk that forced in a third run and a wild pitch that allowed another to score. One out later, Luke Cornelison singled to drive in two more runs to make it 9-0, then two more runs scored on a passed ball an an error.

That was more than enough for Rhett Richardson and three Har-Ber relievers who combined on a two-hitter. Farmington scored its only run when Cole Cantrell’s groundout allowed Kooper Beach to score.

Brady Smith and Dylan Gibson each had two hits for Har-Ber, while Caleb Smith and Cornelison each drove in two runs.

FS NORTHSIDE 13, LAVACA 0

Andrew Taylor and Maddax Kincannon combined on a no-hitter, while Northside did all its scoring in the third and fourth innings to defeat Lavaca.

Alex Martinez broke a scoreless tie in the third with his RBI double, while Clayton Wright and Logan Matlock also drove in a run with hits and gave Northside a 6-0 lead. The Grizzlies came back with seven more in the third, including RBI hits by Mason Kincannon, Lucas Caldarera, Joe Roque, Max Howerton and Jaxson Stephens.

Taylor threw three innings and struck out seven to earn the win, while Kincannon threw two innings and struck out four Arrows batters.

RICHLAND, TEXAS 5, ALMA 0

Alma was held to five hits, and the Airedales suffered an opening-day loss to the Royals during Friday’s tournament play in Justin, Texas.

Richland jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, then added two runs in the third and another run in the fourth.

Easton Daily had two of Alma’s hits, while starting pitcher Cash Wilson suffered the loss after two innings of work.

ALMA 4, LAKE DALLAS, TEXAS 3

Camden Curd’s bases-clearing triple completed a seventh-inning comeback as Alma slipped past Lake Dallas during its second game Friday in Justin, Texas.

The Airedales trailed 3-0 to start the bottom of the seventh when Logan English and Branson Brogan singled, then Easton Daily walked to load the bases for Michael Taylor, who singled to center and drove in one run. Curd then belted his shot to left field and chased all three runners home.

Alma had only two hits before its seventh-inning rally made a winner out of Brayden Driscoll, who pitched four innings of relief and allowed one run on one hit.

PRAIRIE GROVE 15, HEBER SPRINGS 0

Prairie Grove scored nine runs in the second inning and rolled to its win over Heber Springs.

The Tigers (5-2) already led 1-0 on Asher Linn’s first-inning RBI single before their big outburst, starting with Tristan Hall’s two-run double. Two other runs came in to score when Maddox Ogle’s single was misplayed in center field, while Luke Vance added an RBI double and Connor Hubbs had a sacrifice fly.

Caleb Carte, meanwhile, threw five innings and allowed one hit with four strikeouts to win the game.

Luke Cesena had two of the Tigers’ hits, while Hall and Hubbs each drove in two runs.

GREENLAND 8, BERRYVILLE 1

Aiden Parker and Hank Ramsey each drove in a pair of runs and Greenland to a nonconfere­nce victory over Gravette.

The Pirates took a 2-0 lead in the first on a pair of bases-loaded walks, then Parker had a two-run single to cap a four-run second. Ramsey drew one of the bases-loaded walks in the first, then had an RBI single in the second.

Greenland had only four hits but took advantage of nine walks. Four Greenland pitchers, meanwhile, combined to hold Berryville to just three hits, and the Bobcats’ only run came in the third when Drew Dean singled and later scored on a wild pitch.

NWA HORNETS 13, GENTRY 2

The Hornets scored five runs in the second and added eight more in the sixth to se- cure a victory at Gentry.

The Hornets had only six hits but took advantage of six Pioneers errors to go with six walks and four hit batters.

Gentry scored in the second when Briar Mayberry scored on a wild pitch, then Jared James scored on a passed ball in the third.

VAN BUREN 8, GRAVETTE 1

Ethan Bowen’s two-run single highlighte­d Van Buren’s five-run third inning as the Pointers went on to defeat Gravette in a game played at the Field of Dreams.

Ian Rowe put Van Buren on the scoreboard with an RBI single before Bowen delivered his hit, then two more runs scored on an error and a wild pitch to make it a 5-0 game. An error on Mason Dalmut’s steal of third allowed him to score in the fourth, then Austin Cain was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Weston Wilcox singled to drive in the last run.

Gravette’s lone run came in the fifth when Brody Bohannon walked and later crossed the plate on Cameron Bedwell’s single.

Peyton Pschier, Wilcox and Bowen each had two hits for Van Buren, while Owen Weedden threw a three-hitter over five innings for the win.

PREP SOFTBALL SPRINGDALE HAR-BER 10, GREENBRIER 2

Leadoff hitter Rylie Wolfe had three hits and scored three times as Har-Ber remained unbeaten with a victory over Greenbrier during the Central Arkansas Shootout in Conway. Anniston Reither had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs for the Lady Wildcats (4-0), while Zyria Palmer had two hits and drove in two runs.

Har-Ber pulled away in the seventh with five runs after Greenbrier had scored its runs in the sixth and pulled within a 5-2 margin.

Caetyln Dotts pitched four shutout innings and earned the victory for Har-Ber.

PREP SOCCER BOYS BENTONVILL­E 1, TULSA UNION 0

Joe Brooks accounted for the only goal as Bentonvill­e bounced back from a last-second loss to defeat Tulsa Union during the AR/ OK Tournament at the Tiger Athletic Complex.

Andrei Paley was credited with the assist for the Tigers.

GIRLS SPRINGDALE HAR-BER 1, VALLEY VIEW 0

Marina Gonzalez Morales accounted for the only goal as Har-Ber slipped past Valley View in a nonconfere­nce match at Wildcat Stadium.

Olivia Gadberry was credited with an assist on the goal, while Starnie Leas preserved the shutout with six saves on goal.
