TUESDAY’S GAMES

ROGERS 9, VALOR CHRISTIAN (ALA.) 8 Hudson Henagan slapped a game-tying RBI single in the sixth inning, and the game-winner later scored on a passed ball to help the Mounties rally for a win over Valor Christian (Ala.) in the Best of the West tournament in Phoenix, Ariz. Jack Burns picked up the win, allowing two earned runs over three innings. Caleb Champion also had two hits for Rogers (9-1).

ROGERS 11, MOUNTAIN VISTA (ALA.) 2 Zach Lawing went 3-for-3 with a three-run homer in the Mounties’ 11-2 win over Mountain Vista (Ala.) High School. Ty Anderson (4-0) picked up the win with five innings of work.

ROGERS HERITAGE 5, NORMAN (OKLA.) NORTH 2 Cade Miller tossed a complete game to help the War Eagles defeat Norman North in Gulf Shores, Ala. The War Eagles (10-0) got a two-run double from Josh Hinds in the first inning to lead 2-1 and never trailed the rest of the way. Miller allowed two runs over seven innings on the mound. He struck out eight and walked three. Hinds, Jojo Martinez and Cooper Mann each went 2-for-3. Hinds and Martinez drove in two runs each.

ROGERS HERITAGE 18, SYLVAN HILLS 0 Heritage banged out 15 hits and rolled over Sylvan Hills as Jack Hamm allowed just one hit and struck out five in the win. Luke Askew, Josh Hinds and Jojo Martinez each went 2-for-2. Askew had a double and a triple and drove in three runs.

MONDAY’S GAMES

ROGERS HERITAGE 8, PRATTVILLE (ALA.) CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 7 The War Eagles scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth to rally for a win in the Gulf Coast Classic in Gulf Shores, Ala. Trailing 7-2, Heritage (8-0) put together a big inning to grab the lead. Spencer Mounce had a two-run double and Josh Hinds hammered a three-run homer to give his team the lead. Mounce had two hits, while Ethan Martin also added a solo home run for Heritage. Hayden Linton picked up the win with a scoreless inning of relief. He struck out the side. Jack Hamm pitched a scoreless seventh for the save.

SPRINGDALE HAR-BER 6, BRIARCREST CHRISTIAN (TENN.) 0 Ross Felder threw a no-hitter in Har-Ber’s victory over Briarcrest Christian Academy in a tournament in Memphis. It was the second career no-hitter for Felder, who struck out 14 and walked three. Har-Ber collected eight hits while scoring two runs in both the first and fifth innings and one run each in the fourth and sixth inning. Brady Smith and Kaleb Ceola had a single and two RBI apiece to lead the Wildcats.

FAYETTEVIL­LE 10, ROMAN CATHOLIC (PA.) 0 Carter Morris hit two home runs and Landon Schaefer hit one home run during Fayettevil­le’s tournament win in Polk County, Fla. Landon Holzhauer had a three-run triple to give Fayettevil­le and 8-0 lead after four innings. Eli Patrick added a run-scoring triple before Schaefer followed with an RBI single to give Fayettevil­le a 10-0 runrule victory. Blake Pennington struck out nine and allowed three hits to earn the win for the Bulldogs.
