Hey, I found Waldo!

No, not the elusive character in round specs sporting a redand-white-striped shirt and a cane. I am talking about a new chicken restaurant opening soon in Bentonville.

Waldo’s Chicken & Beer will open its third Arkansas location on March 26 at 700 S.E. Walton Blvd., according to a press release.

The new location will feature a patio, four dedicated curbside parking spaces, online ordering and a full-service bar in a fastcasual environment, the release states.

Waldo’s is known for making its entire menu from scratch, according to the release. Its specialty is southern fried and rotisserie chicken, and it has an established local beer program and bar.

The menu features a wide array of chicken dishes, including sandwiches, salads, tenders, bonein chicken and overnight-brined wings, the release states. And all menu items will be handmade in the kitchen daily.

President of JTJ Restaurants LLC Tommy Keet has been the leader of Waldo’s expansion in Arkansas, according to the release.

“We’re thrilled to open our third Waldo’s in Arkansas,” Keet said in the release. “Opening Taziki’s 10 years ago, just a block away, we’ve felt the incredible support of the Bentonville community. We’re eager to offer our customers great food, drinks, and service at our new location!”

Handel’s Homemade

It’s official, Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream has landed in the Natural State.

The ice cream shop opened its first Arkansas location Thursday at 1904 W. Pleasant Grove Road in Rogers, according to a press release.

Handel’s even treated the first 100 guests to free ice cream for a year, the release states.

Franchisees Jeff and Mackenzie Greene, set to lead the new flagship store, are excited to introduce this beloved ice cream favorite to the local community.

“We first experienced Handel’s in 2020, and Mackenzie and I fell in love with the taste of each and every flavor, the brand, and the customer service behind the counter,” Jeff Green said. “We’re overwhelmed with excitement to be bringing the best ice cream in the world to Northwest Arkansas!”

The Rogers location will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
