BIXBY, Okla. — Jacqueline Marie Alice Gonzalez,

age 79, passed away on April 5, at the home of her son and daughter-inlaw, William and Bridget Knowlton, in Bixby, Okla. Jacqueline was born in Fouras, France, to Joseph Ait Brahm and Renee Thomas, on August 23, 1944.

She later moved to the United States, where she so proudly became a U.S. citizen. Jacqueline ended up settling and making her home in Bentonvill­e, Ark., where she lived for several decades. The last year of her life, she moved to be with her son and daughter-in-law, in Bixby, Okla., for them to help care for her, as she suffered from dementia.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Ismael Gonzalez; and her parents, Joseph and Renee Ait Brahm.

Jacqueline is survived by her children, John and Diane Knowlton, of Northwest, Ark.; William and Bridget Knowlton, of Bixby, Okla.; and Linda Knowlton, of Northwest, Ark.; multiple grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, and great-great grandchild­ren, which were the joy of her life and whom she cherished above all, along with several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in France.

The family would like to give a special and heartfelt thank you to Jacqueline’s entire Compassus Hospice Team, specially her personal nurses over the last month, Jennifer and Jessica, as well as her personal aide, Jodi, for all of the love, tenderness and compassion they showed Jacqueline during such a difficult time.

At Jacqueline’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Cremation is under the direction of Cremation Society of Oklahoma in Tulsa.
