Lady Indians’ Lail pitches 2nd no-hitter of season; Bandys’ Lyall allows only 1-hit on mound in 10-0 win over Maiden

Mayson Lail was brilliant in the pitcher’s circle on Tuesday, as Lail threw a nohitter to lead St. Stephens Lady Indians varsity softball team past Hickory, 3-0.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Lail struck out 11, while Carlee Logan sat down one.
St. Stephens opened up scoring in the second inning, when an error scored one run.
Lail was the winning pitcher for the Lady Indians. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking one.
Logan took the loss for Hickory. The hurler surrendered three runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out one and walking zero.
St. Stephens tallied six hits in the game.
Mia Sexton and Anicka McFarland each racked up multiple hits for St. Stephens. McFarland and Sexton each managed two hits to lead in the victory.
