Newton-Conover High senior Emma Fox signed her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, April 13, to continue her basketball career at Radford University. Fox was 4-year player on the Lady Red Devils varsity basketball team having played the center position. During her career, she was a starter her junior and senior seasons. She totaled 629 points, 510 rebounds and 99 blocks. Fox is a 2-time All-Conference player, as well as a 4-time conference and 1-time state champion. Her team posted a 93-11 record in four years including unbeaten marks in conference play 3 out of 4 seasons. Fox also earned the 2020 NCHSAA Sportsmans­hip Award.
