Republican candidate debate set for April 26

The Catawba County Republican Women’s Club will be hosting a Republican Candidate Debate on Tuesday April 26, 2022 at the Pin Station Banquet Room, located at 525 West A Street, Newton, NC 28658. The debate will be preceded by a Meet and Greet starting at 5:00pm with the debate to begin at 5:45pm.

Candidates facing an opponent in the May 17 primary election from Catawba County Board of Commission­ers, Catawba County Clerk of Superior Court, NC House of Representa­tives District 089 and US House of Representa­tives District 10 will have the opportunit­y to present their vision for the future of our community in a fair and responsibl­e platform.

Food trucks will be on sight with food service to begin at 4:00pm for your convenienc­e. There will also be a Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle and several Gift Bag Raffles to be given away during the evening. Come early and enjoy getting to know those candidates who are wanting to serve the people of Catawba County.
