Joint investigat­ion leads to seizure of 19 pounds of methamphet­amine and $91,870.00 in US currency

A joint investigat­ion conducted by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, Hickory Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Longview Police Department, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigat­ion and the Office of Homeland Security led to the seizure of over 19 pounds of methamphet­amine, 1.27 pounds of fentanyl, 327 grams of powdered cocaine, two firearms and $91,870.00 in US Currency.

These seizures resulted from coordinate­d efforts including an undercover purchase of methamphet­amine, a traffic stop and searches of two Catawba County residences.

On May 2, 2022, Bobby Lee Fish W/M/41 of Lowrance Road in Catawba County was arrested and has been charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphet­amine, three counts of Traffickin­g in

Methamphet­amine, three counts of Traffickin­g in Opium and Possession with Intent to Manufactur­e, Sell or Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substances.

Fish received an $850,000.00 secured bond and has a court appearance scheduled for 05/24/2022 .

Fish has additional charges pending. This investigat­ion is continuing.
